Aydon, I think the biggest idiot would be the one that says Evos are rubbish. I don't think anyone's disputing they are a brilliant car but we are on a Clio forum and nobody is really arguing with you. Yet you seem to be getting the hump because people are defending Clios as a good track car...
Don't FQ400s need sevicing every 3000 miles or something. Hardly a cheap alternative is it at what the initial outlay is as well. Then factor in if you tracked an Evo all the time, it wouldn't last either.
Have to dig some photos out. I know of a pic of a twink. Takes pride of place in my son's bedroom. It's a bit special, I'll scan it after work. Then the hunt for my ultimate Mk1 pic begins. "RS1300" originally.
Depends what type of brakes and if wheel bearings included on rears. If OEM then it sounds a little bit steep but not too bad. As above around £300 for parts but then that's 3 to 4 hours' labour - Are you buying them their lunch? Is it local garage or main dealer? Is alignment included? Etc etc
I was a Bedford virgin then, I'll get a better one next month for you, you going to hold my hand?
I was on the green stuff at Oulton, 20p - 50p moment.
