By the time DVB-H is around in the UK the N96 will be a distant memory, and seeing as its the same as the N95 otherwise, its a pointless upgrade.
I also didn't like the look of the N96
Okay, the easiest way for you to do this is via a terminal.. its not the big scary monster people think it is, just follow this and you will be fine !
Open a terminal click applications then accessories then click terminal.
Now type the following (you will be prompted to enter your password)...

Don't mess about with the dash. I don't know if its reversible.
I don't have a 360 anymore, I had all three (Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii) and decided to get rid of one of them...
Be careful when modding, you can brick your 360 !
I use a pioneer 110D, its a bit older now so there is probably better/cheaper out there now.
Im not sure which part your refering to when you said is it reversable.
The process of modding is reversible as long as you keep your original...

I like everyone else learned this lesson, even my stuff at home is on a 2.5TB RAID6 dual fallover server with UPS power backup. Its worth it because I don't want to loose the...
Had a quick look but not much point TBH. You could remove the functions that you dont seem to be using (credit card checks for example)
But in order to totally compress it down would be quicker rewriting it from scratch.
Ye if the hard drive is ticking/clicking then its a sure sign of a controller failure.
You could probably get your data back if you had an exact same version of the hard drive that broken as you could just 'borrow' the controller from that..
And for next time.. always backup !!
Gnome 2.2.4 has just been released, and included with it is Empathy Instant Messenger. Worth a look.
But failing that I would go with pidgin as Tom posted.
There are more than a few others for you to choose from, like aMSN, Kmess etc.
Its easy to set up different methods of notification depending on the time of day... you can also set up event severity eg. not be notified of smaller failures until 8am or whenever.
Very flexible bit of software.
