3/4 or gtfo imo
Police pulled me other week and had a copper walk round the car checking everything out, must of give it a good looking over as he pointed out my front tyres were newer than my rear (I knew this as they're my tyres...) but anyway he didn't flag up the plate, so providing it's...
aye know what you mean, wouldn't need to change the back two, just change the front two, keep the front right as a future spare, shove it on a spare alloy if you can find 1 cheap
Having had a similiar thing happen to my corsa (driving it flat for a few mile on the motorway) and then seeing the state of it when it came off I wouldn't go another yard in it as the tyre wall will be badly worn, they old tyres?
If you are going to drive it mate then keep it below 30imo
Good to see that mate, mine is running a cat, always curious as to how it sounds from the outside, yours sounded epic, then when you filmed from the inside it sounded just like mine so I guess mine also sounds epic :rasp:
It's that accident i'm referring to mate :-(
In terms of what's relevant to the mechanical side it was the heavy smash into the kerb that did the damage, the unfortunate fall onto it's side just lead to some costly panel damage.
Cheers lads, I suspected the steering column might be twisted so was seeing if that was actually possible or if I was talking nonsense!
Hit a kerb very heavy, to the point where the right alloy was pointing almost back on itself while the alloy on the left was parralell with the car :-\ And...
No the 2nd funnily enough lol
Had the tracking done last week when it was cold and noticed it for the 1st time while it was up on the ramps, pipe to the left pupming all the gas out.
Sure somebody good with physics could put an explanation to it.
Evening,
My mechanical knowledge aint the best, not terrible but not great.
I'm having some handling issues at the mo and I think to try and solve the problem I need to understand what's what.
If somebody could give me a quick run through guide from the steering wheel through to the wheels...
Aye, i'll pop out on my dinner hour when the weater picks up and we'll grab a macdonalds.
There prob isn't a set in stone way with them systems as everybody seems to have different heights, projections etc.. when you see mine you'll notice it sits further in by about an inch even though...
Bad times :(
But at end of the day it's only low mileage, worst case scenario it's never been serviced so it's what, 8k over due? Not good agreed, but once it's serviced it'll be right as rain, not worth getting so worked up about, the £500 or so you'll prob loose in re-sale value you'll get...
Was it not just your mounts mate? I had to go buy new the morning mine went on as it was clear they'd gone slack.
I cringed when I saw the picture where it'd been hacked off
Regarding the rasp, mine seemed to disapear after a long blast down to weymouth with the mrs, only been on a week...
Agreed mate, the whole point of having less power low end and more high end is so that when you're in the mood for it you know it's there on tap, when you're nt in the mood you go no where near the 5k and there's no reason to need the power.
Nt had the map myself bt i'm reading it that having...
Re: Hmm, anthrasite wheels?
Yeh agreed, you'd need to do both.
I'd stick with the silver personally, if you've got a bit of spare cash then go and try something but if it's going to be a 1 time thing then i'd leave it
I sort of know what you mean, clio you need to put some effort into the driving, which is a good and bad thing, good as when you're in the mood you're grinning but on a damp evening drive home from work you just cannot be fooked.
I have this issue mate, the top sits under the bumper, I actually think it looks better as from the back it looks flush but yeh some seem to have it out by an inch, think the de-cat pipe pushes it out that extra bit further but may be wrong
lol you having a giraffe?
I have 1 and I love it, even if they do loose their rasp after a couple of week :( but they're def on the loud side at whatever speed, worst when there's a copper next to you at the lights, trying to crawl away slowly while whispering 'shhh' to the car and it still...
I know exactly how you feel mate, i'm in the same situation at the moment, car issues just seem to be piling up and it's a fight money wise to keep it how I want it and i too went on pisotn heads and we buy any car lol.
Think it's just the winter blues, you forget what you love about car...
