I would say that wasn't a good idea unless you really like oversteer i.e. plenty of front end grip and a lot less on the rear
4No AD08's would be a good choice
As for pressures a good starting point is to set the tyres to their cold pressures when hot and take it from there
Gearbox can be a weak point, 3rd and 4th syncro generally I believe. Its always worth bleeding the clutch though just to make sure it is the box at fault.
If the box has to come out its an ideal excuse for a LSD to go in
The Sealey one says accurate to 0.1mm, thats 100 microns, some paint on cars isn't that thick !!! You need a meter that reads in microns or at least 2 decimal places in millimeters and an accuracy of 0.01mm
My advice would be to buy once only and buy something decent -...
"Also out of interest how do you get the hub low enough to free the shock"
Have you tried spring compressors ?
When we swapped B14's for KW's we used a small jack and metal bar on the damper body wing (the bit that the drop link bolts to) to push the damper up out of the hub (mind your...
Welcome to the forum, the 200 is a cracking all round car .Just lacks a little bit of puff on the straights - but braking, speed in and out of corners they are superb
what sort of budget will you be looking at for car and modifications ?
Funny I was just reading this thread and thinking of Nitrac !! Great minds
Also. I will say that RS29 pads are an endurance pad and pretty kind to disks - my favourite track pad
If you are going to do it I'd change the lot including water pump. ALS do the full kit for £280 - https://www.als-performance.com/kits/specialist-kits/cambelt-kit
Seems a good price to me
I would agree with the drilling, but as for grooves I'm not so convinced, they are only deep enough so when they disappear the disk is as minimum thickness. The ones I've had done in the past have proved to have no issues.
The number of disks available with curved groove on straight vane...
No personal experience of this but I thought I'd read that if you hold the downshift paddle whilst braking it will select the correct gear ready for when you hit the accelerator, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong
I hate the slave cylinder design i.e. a join in the plastic pipe and no retention of the connection where it passes through the bellhousing.
We had a new one fail at Oulton Park (pishing fluid out of the joint) on the Friday before Saturday race day - It was a busy Friday night at Brosport...
We used omp subframes and sidemounts no sliders. We had to redrill the subframe to side mount fixing holes.
Sidemounts directly to the floor sounds good but you will need to lower the Steering column to get a decent driving position
Rentune do side mounts
https://m.facebook.com/rentune/
We found when dropping the drivers seat that the steering wheel was too high and there was insufficient adjustment, therefore we lowered the column using washers on the mounting bolts to get it to a more reasonable position.

Well only good things to report so far
Pads bedded on the road as per the manufacturers instructions
Seem to have decent cold bite, good pedal feel, no fade
Will have a look tonight at the disc and pad surface to make sure all is well

Got to be worth sticking a clutch in also
