M60 with magnum ammo and red dot sight is pretty much a portable heavy lmg...absolutely rinses. Alternatively scrap the red dot and have extra ammo and you become a one man army. I think it's like an automatic sniper rifle...far too powerfull, but legal. Therefore use it if you have it!

Yeh - in vehicles though I like how all the perks make a difference. e.g. the ammunition upgrade is devastating in the choppers, but in tanks I prefer armour upgrade...but with the other person in the vehicle as well with another upgrade can really augment the power / accuracy.

Agreed. Halo out soon, and then Black Ops. Unless this is awesome and new modes or something, can't see it doing well. Not bothered about single player either, just want new online maps, settings, classes and unlocks.

Imagine forests...but with flamethrowers and burnable fauna...that would be great! Although the demands on the processor whilst also being online might be too much. Maybe for the single player though? Got to get some napalm too!

It makes sense...the M95 fires larger bullets, although I'm not sure the game is so advanced to take such things into account? I seemed to get more reflex shots with the Gol...no MW2 style quickscopes though!!!

The gol is probably my favourite sniper, prefer it over M95, even without magnum on it's deadly and bullets don't seem to drop as much as on the m95 (I may be imagining this though!) That neostead is awful though, it's like it shoots jellybeans at the opposition. Having said that I think...

Played for first time in ages last night...despite the connection issues I had a good time, got 33-2, 15-0 and a few other decent scores. The king is back haha

Does anyone else get it when you have been sniping for ages, and suddenly as you scope someone, they have scoped you a second earlier (even if on the other side of the map) and they take you down...it's as if they wait for you to see them before shooting?! Highly annoying!

It worked in the end, just took like 15 attemps?!? All sorted now though, and loving all the little extras and having LOADS of free memory. Also get 3 free games pre installed including Peggle. Result!

Got my new 360 S but so far not enjoying it. Won't recover my gamertag (keeps freezing at different points up the progress bar) and doesn't pick up the memory transfer (although I take it this might happen once I finally get into the main menu). Anyone else had issues? So far getting really...

V55 is only worthwhile with the magnum ammo, without that it's awful. Gol or M95 are the best, but gold star on both of them so wanted to work through some of the others before Halo Reach arrives. Oh right didn't actually realise pressing back gives out orders...not like I've got nearly 8 days...

See, another reason not to play hardcore!!! I wish there was some way of signalling to people when you need ammo or health. Even though it comes up on the map, so many people still don't give you any. Nothing more annoying when your snipe spree comes to an end due to no bullets. Now gold...

Darren - better mortars can take out tanks, yes. On levels like Attacama it can be devastating. I mentioned I also downed a chopper with one once too. Also, mortars are great for scaring people behind cover out, into your positioned reticule. It let's them know "we can see you!" and more likely...

Magnum ammo on snipers like the Gol or M95 is a bit pointless. A headshot still always gets a kill without it, and a body shot still usually takes 2 with or without it. You're better off with explosives upgrade to power up your mortarts I think. Pistols are good, I'm hooked on tracer darts now...
