Problem Transferring Data / Recovering Gamertag on new 360

Got my new 360 S but so far not enjoying it. Won't recover my gamertag (keeps freezing at different points up the progress bar) and doesn't pick up the memory transfer (although I take it this might happen once I finally get into the main menu).

Anyone else had issues?

So far getting really annoyed with this.

It worked in the end, just took like 15 attemps?!?

All sorted now though, and loving all the little extras and having LOADS of free memory. Also get 3 free games pre installed including Peggle. Result!

got my xbox all swapped ready for a huge amount of new games....f1 2010 being the pick of the bunch

If you go to memory you can see they are in there...and not checked but I assume they will also be in your games collection where your other DL games exist. Think it's Peggle, a pinball game and one more I can't remember!

Pleased it's not full of useless gamer pictures and stuff like my original one was too. Still though, a few GB are spent on memory resources etc. On my original 20gb one think like 4gb weren't available, and same on the new one. Does this not constitute false advertising?!

Are they not just trial games, you have to buy the full versions?

I've seen them on mine but not actually bothered trying any of them.

Not sure really, they all took up a decent amount of MBs so I assumed full - I could well be wrong though!

I think it works the same as the car packs on Forza 3. Generaly 5 or 6 cars and one free one. If you download the free one the file size is quite large cos you're actually downlading all of them. When you pay the MS points for the "full pack" it's a tiny file, like 100kb that simply unlocks the rest fo the cars that you have already downloaded.

It may be due to firewall issues on my PC's internet wi-fi but not sure...was a bit frustrating. The hardware itself is solid though.
