Frustrating !!!
Still having issues which were originally presumed to be mapping related. But Henk @ FastChip has been alot of help and it's now looking more likely to be a sensor fault. So it needs more investigating.
Even with these issues though it's feels much better than before...
Thought i'd stick together a quick history of my car and then keep it up to date with new additions.
2004 - After toying with the idea of a brand new 182 i decided to go for a year old 172 and traded my 1.2 in. These are the first pics of it. Mods at this point were tinted windows, pipercross...
Got home today and noticed a bird on the roof outside my window. Thought i'd get a few pics of it. Was a bit tricky getting the window open without scaring it off though.
Well after weeks of no progress, and missing the rolling road day on Saturday, things are back on track all of a sudden.
Cams went in Saturday so i've been taking it easy since then and am just waiting to get a custom map loading on with the RSTuner now. The cambelt change and cams didn't go...
Yeah i was looking at these earlier, what is the law on the letter spacing though ?
For example the first one on that page, can you have it as C11O AA ?
Well i think the CUP plate is a definite no then.
I've looked through the AMG ones and there's not really anything i like the look of (all a bit long)
Couldn't really find any other decent Renault or Clio related plates.
I found one that's fairly close to my surname though (Gibson) = G13 SOH...
Been looking around for a private plate for a while now. Unfotunately my initials are AMG so the chance of finding a reasonable priced one is pretty unlikely.
So what i'd like instead is some opinions on whether a plate ending in 'CUP' should be put on a non-cup that is stripped with cage...
After the pics i posted on Monday from Lydden i decided to buy a new lens. I got myself a Nikon 70-300mm lense.
So today i gave it a try at the DTM today at Brands, i'm fairly happy with the results (but i'd begun to forget how the settings worked !)
Was a bit disappointed that the bridge at...
Here's some pics from today at Lydden, not amazing but with a better lense and some more practice they should get better.
A crash
The rest will be here when they finish uploading - http://www.adamio.co.uk/galleries/Lydden_Aug08/index.html
Because they we're only done as a temporary trial i just rubbed them down with some wet and dry, sprayed them, let them harden and then gave them a quick polish.
The guy who's doing them now is the scratch, paint and valet guy at my local Renault garage. He's doing the side bullets orange with...

Not sure about gains yet but when it i was at the Surrey Rolling Road in March it made 157.9 bhp. Feels better already with just the sports cat and RSTuner map.
At the beginning of the year i was looking to change car. But after looking around at other cars and taking into account tax, insurance and having to take out a loan i decided to keep the clio, make a few changes and get out on track.
So over the last few months i've been collecting parts and...
Cheers, i've only got this one pic
They look okay from a distance but the quality is not great when you're close up. Gonna get someone else to redo them.
Gone orange with mine, along with towing eye and side badges.
Still not sure if i like them. Might look better once the interior's gone and it's lower.
