to be honest mate its probably just the bulbs which are shot which means you gotta take most of the dash off bit of a mission but its DIY!ive done a mk1 around 10 times never attempted mk2 but i no its a dash out job!
Good luck
Carismas work looked alot better quality rather than west coast, westwood was shocking but the staff were so much more down to earth, ive seen there cars and they are top especially the new porsche they done!but the ones in this programme are gonna be really commercial!Ryan
mines a mk 1 phase 3 1.4 (same car) cost £300 i think just new plate and release bearings, but like you sed it was a one off so you might be lucky and just bought the clutch up too quick!get it on a hill and try it!mine was an engine out job i think as it made it easier, i had all belts changed...
sounds like the clutch mate, i had the same problem was annoying then the release bearing in the clutch went causing a rattling noise on idle!either rev it more or get the clutch done.
i maybe wrong but this is what happened to me and if you do get it done get someone professional to do it...
yeah i no exactly what your saying chris its the only thing i dont like!i will look into it see what happens when i take it off, was gonna get a smooth boot but that costs alot for nothing if you no what i mean!
yeah colour coding, i could proberly do the side strips but probly not the bumpers, plus when ive seen car colour coded on the bump strips the paint always flakes off and looks pants?or are they just bodge jobs!
Well just had my car fitted with koni sport shocks all round and new brembo brakes, all lowered 55mm and the shocks work a treat, any one with a phase 3 with a 58mm gap on the front shocks these are the only uprated ones!!
Im really pleased with the lower look (it was at 35mm front and 50mm...
also my new koni shocks of yesterday were on hard setting and brakes worked really well but they are now squeaking!i did get out and try to free the 2 boys out but someone beat me to it!its such a weird atmosphere when something like this happens!
a lady came running towards the crash shouting...
Coming back from town (colchester) and get onto 70mph dual carriage way (downhill) in the outside lane overtaking and see a red nova coming towards me.....moments later its airbourne he was probly doing 60mph and i was coming closer and closer slammed my brakes on and this (below) lands 2-3...
