Easier to just buy some wheels that fit? Probly cheaper in the long run too.
You could of had some ph2 172 wheels for not much more than 100 notes with tyres if you hunted about on here.
Could be manifold to cat join? Bolts might be loose if the Cat's been changed recently etc... I had this problem when I changed the cat and didnt tighten them up enough.
Search Ktec customer reviews, you have to be quick though and look outside the Ktec section, that section is famous for vanishing acts on questions relating to the subject matter.

Thanks James, Yeah I've test drove the one at Stoke but it was a bit of a shed tbh, dump valve fitted and no remap, stone chips everywhere with some crappy paint pen filled in so looking for a better example. It's well over priced for the mileage/condition IMHO.

The mother has just purcased a MX-5 which looks to have had the old 'Wash your car with a brick' routine performed on it. It's black so it only makes it worse.
What would you recommend? pad/polish wise? I need both as I've only got dregs of polish left and fubard pads.

So the time has come to part ways with my Renault Sport 172....But on good terms.
I dont do messy break ups so the 172 is off to find a new home somewhere amongst the fraternity of car enthusiasts, or more likely some ding bat that will rag it round a car park somewhere.
