Yeh seems like a seal to me, What sun roof is that? Does it wind into the roof or do you pull a handle and it pops up a bit to let some air in? If that makes any sense at all!

Have you checked ALL fuses and ALL relays? Maybe you touched a wire you shouldn't have and it's cause a short or knocked a wire loose? Retrace your steps what exactly have you touched and check its still in place
