If you run it from the interior light, 1. If your running it from the door then ye you would need 2 to save running a cable right the way across the car. The ampage usage of the LED's would be very low so you could probably get away with a very small relay as you wouldnt be switching high amps...

If it is the cables eg. if after a bit of wiggling the airbag light goes out/back on etc then you can take it to renault to get fixed. Their fix however seems to be to chop the cables around the connector and to solder them back together again.. great fix eh !
