In any case, i have a excuse for forgetting. I took my front fogs out !!! hahaha
Ive had a few problems with idling on my mk1 172 over the years. First i'd try cleaning the throttle body out.
More likely to be a leaky gasket somewhere if its reving that high tho as the tb would have to be seriously gunged up......worth a look all the same
Exactly the same problem happend to me 2 weeks ago and that also ended up on a AA truck down to GDI !!! lol........took a day to arrive from one end of the country to the other !! lol ......big thanx to the AA. Membership was worth its weight in gold that day i tell ya haha

Wasnt there meant to be someone on here who was developing a Laguna turbo engine transplant convo ??
Back in the real world where things cost money.............lol
The CTR engine is better built but you'd be looking at at least 5k plus to drop it in and tbh it wont be that much quicker. Far easier and more cost affective to drop a 172 engine in a tune that to 200bhp.
Think there's a...
tut tut how could you think of such a thing !! :-|
There would be no benafit what so ever for doing a CTR transplant. You might as well just go and drop in a 172 engine which is a straight fit and mod that up for all the extra it would cost ya to do the Honda idea !!
There just as quick...
If your cold air feed pipe is located in a good place it shouldnt make much of a difference if its connected or not because its still feeding the IK with at least 98% of the same cold air.
If your cold air feed pipe is blasting out loads a cold air and is as near as poss to the front of the...
