Wish they'd a told me this before they had a go, [AND FAILED COS THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING], at fitting the thing to mine and coming up with a excuse that my car was running so lean that they'd have to by-pass the fuel regulator and that would cost me 140 sheets before they even...
Im in South West Scotland and took mine down to GDI.

I hired a car from Enterprise down there near GDI. Was really cheap and a damn good service which i can...
Had to ditch the spare wheel so the amps would drop in the spare wheel well thats the only thing.
If tyre weld is good enough for the Cup boys then its good enough for us full phat 172 drivers ;-)
Get the Valver booked in for a tune up.
You only had to see on Top Gear how much bhp those 2 old Ferrari and Lambo 's had lost over the years. Its not all about bhp and weight ''all'' the time !! :]

Think mines developed the exact same problem as yours this last week. do you get a kind of clunking noise when travelling on a uneven road too ??
Im thinking its gotta be either the anti roll bar or worn bushes somewhere
Got a mk1 172 and its developed a creeking noise when i turn the steering wheel at low speeds.
It also has a ''clattering noise'' when i go over rough area's of road.
Any idea's and how to fix it ??
Thanks

Engine should be ok out of that unless its had a rupture of some sorts and the interior looks to have escaped undamaged by those pics.
