It could be one of a few things >>> Flat spot on one of the tyres (i.e un even wear) this can cause un natural vibration. A drive shaft may be knackered this could also cause vibration. The stering geometery (tracking) may be needing aligned.

As said ive never found a confident tyre in the wet tbh Anyway there not the most expensive tyre in the wet, i swap the front and rears every 6,500 miles to even out wear and tear this seems to help it. Power steering rips tyres to shreads!
