from being a member of RTOC, id say your never gonna compete with them, the level of knowledge on those cars of the people on that forum, your never gonna find elsewhere

the most common problem, is the front of the glovebox falling off, its very common, so common in fact that for 2 years i couldnt find a replacement one at the local scrap yard, i did however realise afterwards that i could have just got some new clips from Renault to sort it lol

you can use petrol to clean the filter but it might destroy it as im not sure the glue K&N use will stand up to it
for the oil though, it HAS to be the stuff they supply, or it simply wont work properly how it should, if your gonna bodge it dont bother, throw it away...
clean the cap and take it out for a proper drive
the oil doesnt get anywhere near up to temp after ten minutes of drivin, take it out for 20 minutes minimum and if you have a motorway close by go on that and come off at the next exit and go back
