right, seems the ball will finally be rolling on my GTT conversion, donor is paid for and currently tucked up in a garage, bank loan acquired currently sat in my savings account..........and decided on whose doing it
gone with Grey Devil Industries in Cambridge, its quite a distance from where...
right i wanna fit Alpine Type R front components in my RT, however ive heard there quite big so i wanna know what the mounting depth is on a Mk1 Clio
or, if anyone has these speakers fitted ?
what i meant is that the area reps can offer it to the members at the meets and whoever wishes to sign it does so, and then the area rep posts it on to the next area rep until all the areas are covered
K&M in Wigan wont be happy about this hehe, thats all the fella there tries to sell you
as soon as you walk in an say anythin about speakers he automatically tries to sell you the Cerwin Vega equivalent !
COULD I MAKE A SUGGESTION ON THIS
IN MY OPINION YOU REALLY NEED A HEAVILY SIGNED PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENT TO PRESENT TO RENAULT CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOW OBVIOUSLY YOU CANT POST IT AROUND TO EVERY MEMBER WANTING TO SIGN
HOWEVER, YOU CAN POST IT TO ALL THE AREA REPS AND IT CAN BE SIGNED AT THE AREA...
so why is it then that most expensive amps are advertised as 1 ohm stable ?
surely if its better to higher impedance then wouldnt they advertise like 8ohm stable ?
ive decided just the one sub, probably 12" now, definitely Alpine Type R
the amp ill be getting is the MRV-F450 5channel amp
is it..............if my amp is 1ohm stable then get the 2ohm version
however if its 2ohm stable then get the 4ohm version
and if its only 4ohm stable then get...
after lookin at the 12" Alpine subs.........there dual voice coil......however they do 2 versions
2ohm + 2ohm or.........4ohm + 4ohm
i havent got a clue what the difference is, anyone explain ?
right........now im on to choosing the amp/s ?
ive decided im gonna go all Alpine........
now, do i get a 5 channel amp which can run the front components i want, the sub, and also some rear speakers if i decide i want em.....
does a 5 channel amp give you proper control over the subs...
id probably go for Uniroyal Rainsports mate if your lookin at spendin that kinda money (£50 a corner ish).......there very good in the wet, and although ive read some things about poor dry performance they have been very good on my car....
think im gonna go all Alpine with just the one sub, the Type R stuff if i can afford it
i might get a 15" sub as i hardly ever listen to dance music, its all hip hop in my car....
yea mate but the RMS figure is the most reliable figure to go on, you cant make a decision based on peak.....
the amp id be gettin is a JBL we have at work for £100, the same one id be gettin to drive the sub
id bridge the sub one........220W RMS that would be fine for me......id probably...
well im thinkin of maybe goin totally alpine
do you think it would be worth spending more on the Alpine stuff and maybe gettin 1 less sub and amp, rather than goin for the JBL, because those 12" £50 subs we have at work are damn good for what i want
right ive jus been browsin components.......
not the most i wanna spend is £100 really as i gotta buy an amp aswell an im not made of money !
ive been lookin around an the JBL ones look good VFM........GTO505CE......£80 and 75W RMS ! for the woofer an 50W RMS for the tweeter
ive also seen...
