Ive noticed that the 2.0 8v Megane engine looks identical to my 1.8 8v Rsi engine. Does anyone know if the bottom end of the 2.0 8v will go straight in with the rsi head???
Reason for asking this is ive seen a cheap 2.0 8v megane engine going about and dont wanna swap the wiring etc around
120 gbp for second hand Scorption cat back system
18 gbp for second hand de-cat
80 gbp for panel filter/relocating CAF etc
440 Euros for the manifold
200 gbp ish for fitting it all etc
(my pound sign aint working on the keyboard so bare with me)
Got rr'd at 70.49 bhp and 78lbs torque...
Hard to say - 3bhp maybe. i don't know much about the 1.6 16v's unfortunatly. I know on my 1.2 I got about 10bhp from a manifold, dec-cat and Scorpion exhuast system, panel filer and cold air feed
apart from the noise and funny idling, is there any difference in performance of a cat back system with a centre/mid box to one that goes straight through to a back box??
A full exhuast system with de-cat would give the best increase in performance if you dont go mad and get a massive big bore exhaust.
As for the manifold you can get one from here if your prepared to pay the price...
When I was 17/18 I too wanted a modded car and when I got my Cio I wanted the K-tec racing bodykit etc on it to make it look nice. Luckily I didnt go down this route. I too had a 1.2 8v but decided to go down the peformance route instead of big alloys, bodykit etc. Don't get me wrong I still...
Im getting my 1.8 Rsi engine, gasflowed, polished/ported and getting the inlet manifold all matched up as we speak. The car also has a catback exhuast (still has the cat) and a induction kit. Does anyone know what power it should be putting out roughly when the works been done??
I know...
Looks ok - You should get rid of that clip on exhuast and get a nice cat back system, remove the rear bumper and do some smoothing/colourcoding for that euro look :)
