My advice, if you are planning on modding it, start with some clear side repeaters and silvertec front and rear bulbs. Makes a lot of difference. ;)

Put it back to standard. I don't know why people think it's there duty to mess with the styling of the Cup. They got it spot on, you don't know better, accept it!

I have just had this problem fixed on the Cup, turned out it was a snapped front O/S suspension spring. However, I'm on 36k and it seems a little early for you (if you're still on OE parts).

If the limiter kicks in earlier when the car is cold, of course the optimal gear change is gonna be lower.

When I change on the light it seems to pull a lot harder in the next gear. Plus, isn't the light actually called the 'optimal gear shift light' in the manual.. I think the clue's in the title with this one guys.

Mike, I've just read this entire thread and it seems to me that you made digs at people (and Cups) and when you got 0wn3d with facts and figures, you decided to claim it was all a joke. I've seen it a hundred times.. it's a pussies way to try and gain some dignity back from a situation gone wrong.

What swung it for me - the Cup looks better (paint & wheels), it's lower and stiffer, it's also faster. Plus I didn't like the idea of the touchy ABS system, didn't care about traction control and I don't care about half leather interior. However, my Cup does have AC.. which I'm glad about.

I've been driving the Cup for almost a year now and I think I've locked up once... and that was on an icy road. Why do some people think you need ABS to drive these days? Next you'll be saying how do you not crash with ESP + traction etc.. Answer: We drive to the conditions. :)
