Did you fit a bigger tensioner pulley for the timing belt then and did the tensioner sit in te right place? How much and where from? Might have to invest in one for mine.

Well boys and girls. Had a fight with the exhaust but managed to get it to fit, after turning it over yesterday there was only 1 problem, an o ring from the fuel line to the rail had gone so replaced that. After that she ran sweet as a nut! Left it ticking over to bleed coolant check for leaks...

0.2mm, so theoretically increasing belt length by 0.4mm, which is nothing really. Not sure what it could be causing it to sit where it is. Seems I'm not the only person that's had a non vertical sitting tensioner though.

Really like the finish on the silver one, looks bette than cast.

Tension indicators are miles away Fred, how much of an issue is it having the tensioner sat where it is? Mini182 it's sat exactly the same as yours was, but my timing looks okay, after several rotations of the engine the cam horse shoe and crank pin go in no problem.
