Maybe I chose the wrong pic, in anything other than perfect light (as I had above); the kit lens may aswell go in the bin!

Looking for something to replace the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my 350D. I've got a 70-200 F4L so want something decent to cover <70mm and improve on the following type of shot: Got around £150 - £200 to play with. Suggestions?

Hi Gary, even nicer of them to do it right in front of me with a camera pointing in the general direction! Did you manage to get out on this one? Little sequence of Mr Ceen's "episode": The fact it didn't go over onto it's roof seemed to defy the laws of Physics!

As you can see, absolutely terrible conditions for photography with a combination of rain, fog and very poor light; so just used the event to mess about with settings etc, ready for this main events to come this season. Any comments/criticism welcome...

Superb post, I learned alot from your previous sticky which I tried to put to use on the Red Kite Rally at the weekend - I'll post up some of the results this evening. This being more specific to what I use the majority of my camera for, is even more helpful. Stunning!

All at around 4:30pm this afternoon: 1. 172 Cup in Baglan McDonalds Drive-Thru. Had a set of Lexarse lights. 2. Inferno 182 in Briton Ferry heading towards A48. Looked like the driver had ram-raided Halfords. Lots of mesh, chrome etc. 3. Arctic 182 about 100 yards behind the Inferno...

I'm thinking about getting one of these fitted in the near future. How much would I be looking at for a 182 Cat back system? (Apologies for slight thread hijack!)

Excuse my ignorance, but will they fit a Trophy? I bought a set of grooved discs and Mintex pads for the Cup just before I p/x'd it, but never got round to fitting them. I'm pretty certain they fit but just wanted to make 100% sure. Cheers.

Earlier this evening (23rd) right outside Kiwi's, I was standing outside the entrance as you went passed.

I remember a few years back walking back to my mates house from the golf course, hearing the unmistakable burble of an Impreza coming up behind us. We both turned around to see a McRae Edition coming towards us with two pensioners in the front seats!

Nice and subtle, looks good. Although I'm not 100% sure on the exhaust on second thoughts....

Of course mate, I'll probably take your advice as I've been out for another look and one of the exhaust pipes seems to be sticking out a few inches further than the other - even though it doesn't feel loose or anything. Forgot to mention previously that the guy had a young lad in the van with...

I think the fact that I was still doing about 50mph when he hit me contributed to the distance I travelled. Or I may have misjudged the distances due to me being completely stunned! They had it up on the ramps to check underneath and everything is in order. May take your advice though...

Still waiting for the police to finish their enquiries etc. The car has been to Renault for an inspection, and thankfully there isn't alot of damage to the car, just needs a new rear bumper. I've been to the hospital and I've definitely got whiplash, still undecided whether or not to claim...
