Nice write up, Lee.
When I drove one I just didn't like having to adapt to a heavier car and less dramatic acceleration. But it is very composed in the corners, and looks great on track.
Fantastic brakes and nice seats. I loved the steering wheel too, but thought the steering was too light...
rofl ^ I'm thinking of doing it, but I just can't help myself sometimes.. I know I shouldn't let him wind me up like this.
He talks the most amount of s**t in a post, I almost enjoy picking them to pieces.
You just can't help yourself can you?
Yea, didn't Gervais say that? Its just that I usually quote someone when I use their comedy.
You know one thing which annoys me, which you see on the net a lot, is when people use the word "your" when it's supposed to be "you're". However, you're the...
Y'know, how can I argue with such rediculous comebacks as yours? This one is a classic by your standards, I was expecting something like this.
D'you know what I think, blaze? I think all of these assumptions you make about people e.g. self loving muppet, I have issues etc. I think that these...
Anger management? Are you having a laugh, blaze? You're the one who needs anger management.
Look at you, you come on to this forum acting all high and mighty. I've seen a few threads in which you've posted since you joined. You're always the same, derogatory comments, slagging people off.. Why...
A 182 with Cup packs is different than a 182 Cup. Yours will have the darker coloured wheels, but apart fromt that will look exactly like a normal 182. i.e. You will have washer jets, no stripes and it won't be Inferno orange or Racing blue.
What colour is yours?
haha, good point!
My experience with it was that it seemed to completely shut the engine up at higher revs, which I thought was excellent! However, when I test drove it I didn't take it on the dual carriageway. I was going through country lanes, so didn't keep a consistant 70mph (if you know...
Good point!
The point of the French hot hatches is that they're fast and fun to drive and come at half the price of the German or Jap equivilant.. Quotes like that won't score you many points on this forum mate.
Yes, but those guys are sad little men with no sense when it comes to money.
Sure they'll gain respect on the road when they beat you in your V6, but when you talk to them and they tell you how much cash it took to get it to that level they'll lose that respect and get laughed at in the...
I know what you're saying but you're also saying that a 7k loan isn't a lot for a car. Well everything is relative, sure it wouldn't be much of a loan for something like a brand new Golf GTI, but you're talking about a 2nd hand 106 for christ sakes. That's like ordering a £5000 TV. lol
It just seems to me you're putting yourself in major debt for no good reason, and at our age that ain't good as far as I'm concerned. Just see what money you have after you sell the V6 and get a car which is good and that you can afford.
A watse of 15k if you ask me. The resale value would be roughly the same as a standard one (if you could find a buyer). I'd like to know what line of work you're in a 21 to be able to invest 15k in a 106 GTI project.
As said above, why not go for something like a Integra Type-R DC2? Regarded...
Nice write up. I agree with most of your points. I had a test drive and posted my opinions on here in a different thread. The steering is far to light and you do lose a lot of feel due to it. When you floor it I don't think it climbs the revs fast at all. Surprised you thought it did actually...
Don't put 18" wheels on it, you might as well take it to an empty field and set fire to it. You'll ruin the handling and waste a lot of money at the same time.
