    I built a 300bhp Zetec 10 years ago for half that. 36k is a hell of a lot unless most of the parts were 24 carrot gold?

    The manifolds alone not much if not any With head work and cams your guaranteed to get power depending on who worked the head and who will be mapping it.

    I cut up a 1*2 manifold to see if there is any gains I ported it and reshaped the ports and bell mouth etc and the gains were..... None As said above. RS2 inlet or custom like it.

    Bigger valves in a small combustion chamber will mean more valve shrouding unless it's flow tested with combustion chamber modifcations.

    Aftermarket ones are about half the price or you could get them bronzed sleeved.

    I would recommend doing the inlets if the head is done at the same time as they respond well to head work On there own its not really worth it, i will do them if people ask me but only with the head now

    It doesn't matter as the RS one don't need as much port work but others can be ported to same spec as a ported RS manifold

    If the head is off get the head done and inlet done at the same time then you will notice the gains. The manifold on its own not so much.

    Larger ports the none RS ones can be ported to the same spec and bigger than the RS ones
