Wow.... that is pornography..... although i prefer your garage set up to be honest  let alone the contents of the garage.

What airbox/induction set up is that ? i am guessing that could not be done to a regular 197/200 due to the location of the fuse box and battery ?
That induction set up is a v6 airbox mate and it requires the relocation of the battery - no big drama tbh.
It's the maxi evo that requires the relocation of the header tank as well. They're £££'s though.

  Clio V6, cup racer
looks a lot better than the shitter I looked at James for £14K, good stuff. need to shed some weight from it IMO. Problem is with these cars, once you change from standard the value drops, its the fact they are a current BARC race car that keeps the value high but all the parts need holograms. Make a nice Millenium series racer mind.....

The title needs changing from breaking now you've got a new toy! I'm thinking 'FF Racings new BIGDINNER Bus' sounds appropriate.
Haaaha p***k ;)
Lol!

Thanks Mark yeah it's only a 9 month old shell so nice and clean example :)

Yes it's a tricky one as you say they are worth more original but it's not cheap to keep sealing them all and keep buying the stickered parts!

I'm getting a set of Dunlop direzzas and see what the car goes like on them and then will make a decision as to what to do. I'm inclined to leave as standard as possible. Weight saving is tempting and have thought about getting a second set of panels in fibreglass with polycarbs but not sure I can be bothered with swapping them over all the time for different stuff

Old Clio is nearly all gone! Shell is sold to a mate of mine who is going to build it up into a race car so will be good to see it still out racing!

I will get a list together tonight of the bits that are left but it's pretty much all gone :(

Sad but good, I see pics of my old MX5 track car that I spent god knows how many hours on and feel a bit gutted sometimes still.

This can only mean one thing :(

Also new car is a bit tight on the trailer! Time to sort a bigger trailer :(

Hi James it's Andy who bought the orange set of wheels. Can you PM me the details of your trailer if you're selling up? I'm after one for trackdays.

Cheers

Been a bit busy so not really had time to do much with the new car yet!

I've got my trailer sold and was going to order a new one from Brian James but then spotted a good one second hand for sale that's the perfect size so im collecting that in the morning

I need to get the ride height, corner weight and geo sorted next week along with a quick dyno check and compression test to make sure all is heathy before I start using it. I've ordered a few service bits and a couple of other bits from R-Sport. Thanks to Nick at Pure motorsport for sorting me out with a nice selection of shims for the back end :)

Bedford is a week today and there is no way it will pass noise testing so I've bought a standard exhaust system and its booked in at Hayward and Scott on Tuesday for them to fab it together so it will be a really quick swap between the two systems

I'd have been getting the trailer posted for £3.20! You'll use more than that in diesel just starting the bm up! Lol!
Haha too true!

Whats the plans for the Westy mate, just a re fresh or a few improvements?
Yeah a few improvements and refresh :) Diff cage kept cracking so modified and reinforced the chassis. Swapping to proper pedal box with hydraulic clutch as the clutch cable was suffering being located right by the turbo. Modifying the rear diff and getting it running cooler, engine check over, sequential box check over, full re wire, few bits of carbon paneling and a million other things I can't remember :)

Thanks mate :) no he doesn't I'll try keep putting a few bits up. The Westy is the interesting car and the plans for putting it back together it should end up even more special than before!
New trailer looks sweet too!!

Looking forward to more updates mate. Hopefully see you at Bedford x

Thanks buddy see you there :)
Good work, be good to catch up at Bedford.
Thanks for the title change again mate ;) defiantly looking forward to it!

Awesome day at Bedford today! First session was on wets and the car was mega! Last session of the day was cool too! Had a few others driving it and common consensus seemed good!

Standard Road backbox felt like a real restriction so looking forward to a noisy day and run it on the loud exhaust.

Other than that a quick check over and oil change and ready for the next one

Love it! How fast is it compared to the 182?
Interesting question not too sure really, We ran a road exhaust for noise but it felt like it was really holding the power back but the chassis is great! Didnt get time/weather to get on slicks but my last session in the car yesterday was great and felt pretty quick, I’d been taking it fairly easy for the rest of the day and waited for the track to get quieter.
Great car bet it was the quickest there on the day at bedford
Not yesterday as we didn’t get it on slicks and I only did one quick session the rest of it was friends driving and getting a feel for the car :) Really enjoyed it and looking forward to future days in it!

They certainly looked to be going well mate. Was following you on a few occasions in my mates FRS and the corner speed those cup racers take is laughable. You can just see it turn in and change direction so quickly.

Look forward to seeing it soon and having a passenger lap!!

Great day at Donington on Tuesday with the car and Porkies car :)

The cars ran faultlessly all day, we left them on the Dunlop DZ03’s for the day (The tyres we would run if we opt to race in the CSCC Millennium series) Setup is feeling pretty good, a few bits to tweak but nothing major :) We were surrounded by some special cars with a 2005 LMP1 car out with us!

Video of both cars having a bit of fun :) Very difficult with trackday rules to overtake without breaking the rules between the two cars. Both cars are setup identically which makes for lots of fun!

Plan from here is to give both cars a good spanner check and they need fluids, filter changes and we are going to dyno them to get some base figures and compression test and then we can monitor health moving forwards :)

Thanks for reading!
James
