I’ve had to do this before and it’s a fiddly b**ch. It’s been so long since I had one apart though I can’t remember any real tips or tricks… sorry!
iirc I did stick a battery onto the motor and run it both ways to get it to a point where I was happy to line it up.
I don’t know how I’ve never stumbled in here... I just thought you were some building surveyor type from the house/DIY thread.

In all seriousness, check the calibration at a range of distances with a manual level or similar. I’ve seen two separate instances of cheap lasers being out in recent years with funny results.

@Jossman great little track write up, looks like the car performed really well. You’ve made me realise how much I miss heading up to brands for a pint in the evening session, and also that I really need to buy a track car and have a bit of fun.
