Wish I could've chatted to the owner, hung around a bit to see if anyone was about but had to leave for work. Awesome cars, if I had the money I'd definitely buy one as a bit of an investment and summer/weekend car.

Don't they have suspension components from Lotus?
I swear a badge on the back of those says something about Lotus.

Twingo 1??

  Twingo 133 Cup,
There a mitsubishi colt underneath. Mitsubishi evo suspension fits so does the floor pan if you want to make them 4wd. They are utterly shite! There is also a coupe version.

I was sure you were right so went on Wiki...

The Satria GTi was developed and re-engineered as a traditional hot hatch by Lotus in Hethel, England.

A new body kit was also adopted for better aerodynamics. The Satria GTi also wore a 'Handling by Lotus' badge on the rear hatch.

Love the Saab 900. My dad had one, unfortunately not a turbo but to this day it's the most comfortable car I've ever been in and it felt 1000x better built than the Granada that it replaced.

206mph in a sapphire stuff that had a 4x4 for a while as soon as you got near 130 (on private roads) the front end went horribly light as in is the steering wheel connected to the front wheels light

Indeed, both those Sapphire's pictured are 800BHP+. Mad things.

The new owner is developing it even further!

Classic 2000's footage:

Tiff: Full harness, helmet, cage.
Mark: A fleece.
😂

Yeah changing the turbo spec isn't he? Would be awesome to see it do one more top speed run, just to see if it could achieve what Rod/Mark were hoping for.

The thing I can't understand is, no matter what is wrong with that, it can't be expensive to fix. An amazing machine sitting there dying.

But more often than not there's more to it other than the cost of potential repairs to get it back on the road, ie illness, death etc

I was a cossie man 20 odd years ago and you’re right there. I’d imagine Rods one was somewhat safer than mine but I recall having a tussle with my mate on his R1 on this private track which had a long drag turning into a very slight left curve (you’d not notice at normal speeds) at 140 the thing just felt like I was going sideways (prob moved about 2”) as I backed off. There was another part of the track that was a 100mph slight curve and your arse would be in your mouth if you lifted.

It was after that I went Jap and couldn’t quite believe how planted a GTI-r felt round the same 100mph bend. You could let off and play with the steering if you wanted it was that different. The GTI-r was poor compared to the imprezas that came after so god knows what a cossie would feel like these days. Was a dream car for me as a teenager though and I’d be all over an escort cossie if my numbers came up.

I swapped it for an evo 3 and couldn't believe how stable it was at speed 150 yoy could take your hands off the wheel and it would stay planted

Gotta be honest mines really stable even at daft speeds on private tracks, had the rear toe'd in about 10 years ago and made a world of diiference too. My 2wd one was the same too and had repeated nurburgring outings over the years.
