I run Bridgestone Potenza SO-3 195/5/R15s on mine.
Only thing i found hard was setting the tyre pressures, to give a little dampening over the bumps. Dont worry about the clutch - your leg will get used to it. But there is a soft pedal conversion avaliable if you dont !
or you could get a copy of photoshop, and virtually modify it without ruining the real thing. Let your mind go crazy with blue neons and tire valve lights !
Wooo the excitment
Put it this way - if 2 williams were for sale next to each other in a garage, one was totally original and the other had engine work, a big dirty barry exhaust and big wheels.
Id go for the original one !
No idea.
But i do know that 160odd quid for 2 springs is still a hard thing to accept! Even though they are both nice and shiny.
Decided that im going to change the springs myself. Been out and bought some spring compressors today. Thats another £30 quid gone, but i betsya thats going to...
Like the idea of a turbo for my williams, but not for the 7.4K asking price.
Depends how good it is. Personally I like mine original, but period tunning stuff should be ok.
My Williams 3 has now done 71,000 tonight.
Owned it for 2,000 happy miles now :)

Woo, looks like you guys where busy last night.
I paid £75 for SPRINGS, not shocks lads. Got them from Renault Romford. So i didnt get my pants pulled down on the price ! But unfortunatly with the club discount I get, it is wasted in postage costs to Huddersfield.
Part Number...
Took 2 weeks, but it got slowed down with the postal strikes. I looked at performance springs, but the williams is low enough anyway. Anymore and there is going to be some nasty scrubbage !
Na mate. The ones on a williams are unique to the car.
Do a search for previous posts on the topic. There is a few to research.
Mine cost me £75 quid each, last week to replace from Renault. The olnly place i found to buy em. They have to be ordered direct from the manafacturer.
Also have...
There seam to be lots about - Have a look on ebay, i got mine delivered from france for £7. Bargin !
But do a search for items that are avaliable to the UK. You get more to view and less people are intested.....Better deal !
You sorted that missing centre cap yet ?

The chip in the ECU could have been easly altered by a ECU reader. You can download and store the cars factory settings (to revert back too if needed) and replace them with what ever you want. I.e. a limit beond 8,000rpm. Dont need a superchip anymore !
Its a small hand held unit, which just...
Ive got a AutoLeads PC901 (Sony Compatable) just plugs into the steering wheel lead, taps into the power supply & connects into the headunit.
I believe that on the Williams 3s that the steering wheel controls were originally designed by Blaupunkt. So in theory any Blaupunkt headunit should be...
Just been tinking....do ya fancy using yours as a pattern to get some more made up. Love to have a set.
Im going to look into this, might even resort to designing a set if there is enough intrest !
Halford sell some good sets. Even have Williams F1 style.
As for genuine Williams ones - only ever seen 1 set, proper rare !
ReUsed your link Riplash, hope you dont mind ...

Woohoo, ive become a Williams spring expert over night.
Been a busy lad today....Been getting quotes for custom made jobs (dont ask about the price, or the hassel), scanned the sets avaliable from Desmond Tweaks, 16V are differant to Willys, didnt want to go down the road of a second hand...
Does anybody know where i can get pair a sensibly priced standard front springs from for my Williams. Ive tryed GSF and Europarts so far ! Also what does a white dot on the spring actually mean ?
Cheers
