There's a rubber seal that goes in there, it's been lost upon removal and you need it, that's your air leak. gota be reving quite high with it missing? It's red if I remember correctly
I've ran the pops and bangs map for a long while and hasn't damaged anything yet, yeah might cause damage but are we talking 50k down the line? Mines quite subtle with a few pops on over run, not like the early versions where it would go nuts driving to the shops at 30mph, only comes on above 5k...
is there anyone here running the 300mm setup? could you measure from the center of the hub to the outside of the caliper for me please? i run 15 inch pro race 1's (not 1.2's) they have more space in them than most 15inch wheels so wanted to measure up as see if i could squeeze them in, cheers
Could be traction control my cupra r used to do it, like it would back off when it cut in at the same time Id let off the the throttle would momentarily return to the position it was last at, then realise you were off the throttle

anyone game for this? will i be a lone cliosport running? shop opens up at 9am running to commence at 9.30, would be good to see some of you there. usual price of £45 per run unless more than 15 run then it will be £35. If you intend to run come and find me (names Adrian and im in a trophy) and...
no worries, handbrake is lightly on to replicate light braking and the noise it makes. yep torqued to 175nm while off the ground. all seems perfectly fine now. done about 20 miles of testing and all still good
No noticeable run out on the wheel with no caliper fitted. There is a rotational noise though i think its normal, what do you guys think?
there is a noise, that is there with or without the wheel fitted, very slight but id say it was just normal noise? no clicking or clunking.
so remove and...
mintex disks and pads for me, came with bearings and abs rings already pressed on/in. maybe that is the issue. ill try again tomorrow without the pad carrier fitted and see if it still has a tight spot or click. Is genuine the only way to go these days? been out of a clio for years. Any one know...
just done a quick check while loosening off the hub nut (was suggested it was bearing knock from being too tight?) still does it until the bearing is loose enough to move about on the shaft, so it looks like the disk has a little run out and the sliders are possibly not free enough to take up...
will check tomorrow, take it all off and start again, every thing was free when fitted, im thinking the slider pins could be a bit stiff, never seen anything like it before tbh. id usually expect a loose pad for that sort of sound to be coming off it. tried it a few times adding a click on the...
wow just about to post in here about a similar issue and saw this thread, fitted brand new disk and pads with the washer behind correctly 2 days ago, now have a knocking on one side at very low speed, just recorded it
clicking/knocking noise comes with a tight spot as if the disk is running...
They drop the engine loom and ecu in plenty of different cars so a swap into the clio could be possible, get a trigger pattern sorted and it's a cheap loom and ecu swap in with almost limitless tuning potential, I'll buy a pint for anyone who properly look into it. Could be a very possible...
it was just an idea that could thrown out there and looked into. not all of us have unlimited funds and im old school and love the bargain hunt scrap yard route of tuning. there are probably plenty but having an ecu built for boost would be a huge advantage rather than tricking a non boost ecu...
would be great if it could be done, especially without the expense of a piggy back ecu. how different is the 225 to the 172 ecu? thinking out loud here as i have no idea, but could the 225 ecu not be transplanted into the 172 then tickled to run with it, built for boost from factory, so you...
ahh do you sorry, you can sign in with facebook, no fees or anything but here you go
