Re: A few new additions to Trophy 147/500 - RS2 Fitted
hmmm good question! Since having the GAZ coilovers on our track car I can't remember what setting were on the AST's. I'm not sure if Dan fiddled with the settings but the rears were untouched for track use and the fronts were 2-3 clicks...
Re: A few new additions to Trophy 147/500 - RS2 Fitted
Just noticed this thread, lovely car! They are our old AST's :( Make sure you get some proper use out of them ;)
Just tried to fit some rear aftermarket dampers to the gf's 182 and they dont fit!
Standards use an M8 Nyloc at the top mount but these are M10x1.0 bloody fine pitch... Is this normal for non genuine dampers? I was thinking of sticking the bushes on the lathe to open them out but they...
Are the 197 ports alot bigger? If so, could you use a 5 or 10mm adaption plate that blends the two profiles together? Tapping the head wont be an issue, the engine is still in bits atm.

In regards to air flow, if the chamber just after the filter is large enough, would this disturb air flow or...
I might be a numpty asking this, but....
If I were to re-design an induction system, does it matter if the air filter is before or after the butterfly valve? If there is a big enough chamber after the filter, will it be the same as per standard airbox? This is non ITB setup btw.
Cheers :)

I'm sure there is a valid reason why Renault spent millions to design these cars and not consider the spark plugs like you mention. I'd assume the plenum would need to be massively modified to allow you to service them with no parts taken off. The shape and size has been calculated for the most...
Was this with a big order? I'm a bit miffed by the random quotes tbh. Tweeks are normally very good on price and delivery charges... He said it would be £7 odd to package due to the sheet needing protection.

Tweeks has it advertised cheaper on ebay than online store, and with CS discount!
