Thank you. Ideally getting some new wheels next week which I'm thinking about having painted in green. Yes I know green but I think they'll look nice for 'dry' track wheels.
It's not just that, it's the 'box' itself. Then fibreglass. Supports in the box. Coverings and plastics, equipment etc etc.
Crazy amount of weight when you add it up. Even 5 years ago this car seemed old but my gosh it was functional...
Power cap isn't really the way to go in the (ICE) world unless you've had an install designed at Halfords. Irony here as I had one (1 Farad ) when I first had my old install installed. Was more for looks than function though.
I think the argument regarding having lots of batteries due to weight...
Just had these arrive, pretty excited to try them out. Bedding in required first though!
XP8 compound. If they are any where near as effective as they were on the Evo I'll be a happy man.
Clearly your Witt outweighs your car knowledge or arguably driving style.
After owning a few Boxsters in various trim/packages the Cayman is a a totally different drive to the Boxster. Maybe due to the roof maybe down to the stance but for some reason the Cayman basically out handles the...
But clearly your partner drove both. Boxster handles well but the Cayman is much more poised on the road and feels more connected.
If you read I compared the Cayman against the Z4M which was for sale before and during the Cayman.
But we were comparing the OP's car so only fair we compared to a 03 boxster.
Clearly you've not drove either as they are night and day handling!
If we went from all dates why not add a F40 while we're at it!
Never been keen on the VII , not sure on the front bumper either.
The VIII looks nice though! I always thought the Fq400 came standard with carbon mirrors?
Ran the 172 on T1R's all day at an Oulton outting. They did ok. For £50.00 a corner they are no 'track day' tyre but certainly not as bad a people make out.
Obviously a more track specific tyre would be better I.E R888 but even then there only a watered down 'track slick' at a higher cost...
Cayman S has a 3.4 litre compared to the Boxster S 3.2.
Also the feel the cayman gives compared to the boxster is night and day. The cayman feels so much poised and ready to go where the boxster can feel a little lazy sub 5000rpm.
Either way like I said I think the S sits nicely between the...
Well wasn't feeling the best today so thought I'd spend a few hours in the fresh air outside.
I know this'll not be to every ones taste but I really did need to incorporate some more green onto / into the car as the green 'bullet's' look out of place on there own.
Again not a hugely...
It's strange as I feel the 'S' sits nicely in between the 3.0 and 'M' version of the Z4. ( 3.2 S 280bhp ish ) so in my opinion the S vs 3.0 is about right.
I'd say the 'M' is more against the Cayman? Could be wrong though...
Sorry maybe under powered maybe the wrong word, for me the boxster s always felt like it had a little more and I'm sure they are to rival one another.
That's taking nothing away from the Z4, they are a stunning car. In fact a lot of car for the money these days. I've been thing about selling...
I'll try to describe as best as possible.
It may just be me so please bear with me.
If I turn into a corner the steering wheel will be at 4 o'clock but the wheels may only be at 2 o'clock.
Before our day at Oulton the steering seemed to be a little more responsive.
Any suggestions?
Not after a 'weld' in version as I already looked, shame though!
I'd love to be around the 950kg in total. But few more things before I dive into weight reduction.
