yep, get rid of the stock springs and shocks on the rear, its not a tortion beam on the back in the same sence as it is on the old clio and 5 more of a swinging arm, the rear coilover then uses the original shock points to be mounted
i had an old gordini, still on rtoc now, ace bit of kit, used to love it, even got it into the pages of pgti back when it was worth a read. nice car bud, shoulda done a gtt carb and intercooler conversion ;) they go very well then
yeah yeah, and i bet ure mate had one running 350bhp that blew headgaskets everyweek, reliability is not an issue on a renault 5 gtt, poor maintenace causes things to feck up same as on any vehicle
ahh i know the bit you mean, ill do that.
on that offer tho i do have a few issues, ive got a pre made loom (omex/gdi) one i think, it has a wire for vtec a wire for idle motor and one that comes off the tdc sensor (to join the originals i think) ive got jenveys on so do i not conect the idle...
thing is they dnt state its unsafe to do it, they say that a 195 tyre is sutable for a wheel up to a certain width, totaly different to saying competiton use only
2 of everything, mega exspenisve. these engine wnt run on there original ecus in another car so you have to go for an aftermarket ecu, ud need 2 in that case. one in the front is plenty quick enough, though i know of someone with a turbod 172 in there 5
not imposible bud but ure into clio 172 money for a decent one, i know the sites down at the mo but have a look around rtoc.org for some good examples for sale
182 in the front is easier, been done a fair few times, very simular to the clio conversion. v6 in the boot can be done but ure looking at lots of fabrication to do it
