Cheers Fubar thats great, yeah I noticed there was no Renault part no on the n/side rubber seals, just Hella part numbers, I will see if the Renault parts guy at my local stealer can look it up on his computer else I will try the breakers.
So the HB3 dipped beam bulb does just screw into that socket then (no extra connector required)?
Sorry, meant to say that I am doing the conversion, I don't know why I have to change the wiring in the loom under the steering wheel (see pic) as instructed by Hella, any ideas why?

Yep, these are halogen lamps not Xenon. Got the H7 bulbs (Main Top Beam) just need to buy the HB3 bulbs (Dipped std beam). Want to know if there should be a seperate connector for the HB3 bulbs which are L-shaped or whether they screw directly into that socket pls?
Hi
Just got some used Ph1 172 lights, was wondering if there are any parts missing? (see pic)
I think the bulb connectors for the HB3 bulbs might be missing but not sure (perhaps the HB3 bulbs just screw in to that socket?), are they a seperate part (see 2nd pic)?
I know I a missing the...
I had this common problem, Renault wanted £30 to solder the wire under the passenger seat as the connection was loose. Do yourself a favour and do it yourself.
Need to buy some H7 bulbs for ph1 172 twin optic type lights:
Which bulbs do you prefer: Osram Silver Star or Philips Vision Plus?
I don't want them to be blue looking or have a blue discharge just white.
I actually need H7s (Dipped Low Beam) & HB3s (High Beam) but I will match them...
Yeah, sounds like bad connections, follow the instructions above ^^ check fuses & the wiring loom connecting to the rear lamps, if water has got on the wires then it can cause the current to run between different wires. You should be able to sort it out yourself no probs so don't worry too much.
Can't wait to take a wii... outta the shops of course!
Want a games console to play 'games' not to watch films and surf the net.
Can't wait to get my hands on that tennis game with the Wii controller!!!
Think you'll find that the best thing is to go on to the Dell website and see what you can get for your money (lets you configure your setup). If you decide to buy from Currys online then use this codes to get discount...
ha ha, I did that on the bend at the bottom of the M23 (you know where you turn off for Lewes or Worthing) on a 'greasy' evening in a Laguna! Feels like you are going in slow motion when it happens. Lucky there was no one else in the adjacent lanes, the traffic that eventually caught up must...
We have more or less the same TV, brilliant picture, the built-in freeview works really well even though we have shite reception, we've got an upscaling DVD player and watching some DVDs like The Matrix through the HDMi connection are awesome in quality. The firmware also updates itself through...
If the drive powers up then you can usually use some sofware to do it yourself. There are loads of progs out there which shouldn't cost you more than £30, download a trial version first to check that it can find your files.
Don't get the Halfords ones, spend a couple of quid more and get the Ferrodo ones as they come supplied with 4 guide pin bolts (as mentioned above) which need to be changed too.
I've been looking at laptops too this week although around the £600 mark.
The best brands below £600 (the ones that seem to have got the better reviews in computer mags) seem to be Toshiba & Fujitsu-Siemens. Acer aren't bad but seem generally flimsy. Sure Dell mite be ok too.
Ferrodo FDB-845s should cope with "Fast Road Use" (plus they come with new guide pins bolts) only £17.99 from Halfrauds and a doddle to fit. If you think you are going to kill them then the Pagids ^^ are good.
Here's a couple of reviews of 2 of the best on the market at areasonable price to look at:

Get them to just go to the parts desk at their local stealer and get them to look it up on their computer. The number should be on the inside of all the centre caps if he has the rest.
