I have just gone the other way !
182 has more grip, better spec and more power.
GTi is more nimble, better seating position and more fun, but lacks the torque and grunt of the Clio.
Bic Razor or Remmington Fuzz away on the bobbling.
Gummi Fledge on the seals.
Damp MF and maybe a weak mix of AG Interior Cleaner on the Alcantara to clean it.
That white furryness is the reason I never wanted to use the 182 in the rain or winter.
It will clean of easily BUT, not sure what to suggest to use that will leave it it looking factory.
Gold Class leaves an odd feeling finish aside from that is not a bad wash, just expensive compared to what you can buy the Megs Shampoo Plus of Hyper Wash.
I have been washing the 106 loads as it is living outside till the Clio goes so using whatever soaps come to hand first, Duragloss is still...
No brainer to get the Meguiars G220 machine theses days, proper UK warrenty, no need to chop of plugs and no need to get get extension leads and transformer to lug around.
All Silver needs is washing, 10 mins looks as good as 10 hours lol!
I am thinking the same and selling of most my expensive waxes I have no need for them now on a tatty cheap 106.
Not sure what to suggest as AG Paint Renovator by hand even is a fairly abrasive, any pics of the actual damage?
A machine polish or wet sand will be needed if the etching is deep.
It will take ages if you have bad marring!
Work in small areas, 12 inch by 12 inch or so, apply the the product to the pad and work until there is no residue to remove, this is the only way it will break down and do it's job. Keep repeating this till the swirls are gone, could take some time...
No probs Dan, there are loads more guides out there on the web, decent polishes and pads are a great time saver. I introduced Menzerna to my mate in his bodyshop and he has not picked up the G3 since.
As above they are plastic, can be corrected even by hand.
Machine will make easy work of it either with a plastic polish (Meguiars and S100 both make some) or just some normal car polish, I use Menzerna by machine. Speak to Newms he will sort it for you.
Menzerna Intensive Polish or Final...
Heat is one of the best tricks for faded bumpers.
I have just used Zymol Carbon on the Pug plastics tonight as recommended by a few and will see how it holds up, beads water like the paint on a small test :)
