Does the 197 windscreen have that UV film on it that prevents you nornally getting a GPS signal from inside the car.

Sit in the passenger seat, lift your legs up on to the dash. Use both feet and kick the fukcer out. Don't do it with your best plimsoles on though, in case they rip.

Most new GPS devices will work through UV screens now anyway.

Well my last Tom Tom wouldnt work in the 182. Picking a new Navman up 2moz

The chipsets in most new ones should be fine. My Road Angel won't work in the 182, but my Tom Tom is fine.

No it doesnt have the UV on like the Mk2's. I have the antenas for my b2 and satnav on the dash and work fine.
