As above......
Anyone know a good place or maybe a good online shop to order and West Midlands fitter? Got a quote off Renault, £372.... and thats not even to stick them on.
I was like :dead: Ok.... see you later, bye!
Haha thanks mate, i'm only using it to go to work from the garage. I'm off down Portsmouth soon to visit some friends at Uni, may pop in to see Mike. Got a huge wish list for my car.... with crimbo just around the corner I may get it some lovely presents lol.
Where is Rentech? Are they a good price?
Yeah booked for a courtesy car, took me over a month to arrange it! Shocking! They don't even do local pick up!
I don't get the drilling part too? If you direct feed the airbox to the front then that should be plenty of cold air for the job. On ebay an airbox can be between £25-£45 i guess? Got mine for £35 inc. P&P.
Silicone elbow just looks good, think more of the experianced lads will give you the technical info on the pro's and con's of them. I'm modding my airbox this weekend, picked one up on ebay and a new front lower grille to have a mess around and see what i can do. That way if all goes wrong then...
Have you managed to chat to any of the lecturers yet? There could be a chance that they would rather more functionality, style and marketing of the product rather than out right engineering performance… being that your doing product design and not engineering design.
If this is just for a clio...
Ah, good old Rhino! I loved that NURBS stuff! Its cool for complex curves and surfaces but Solidworks is by far the easiest to use! (Getting my hands on SW 2007 soon.. but shhh…. Hehe) Plus its parametric which means you can change dimension and add equations so that the model can resize to...
Use Solidworks, its much easier and by far the best packages out there :o. I'm modeling my current airbox atm and then modifying it to take a direct 70mm Dia. cold air feed into it. Tis tights as a virgin tho! Not much room to pipe into it. It would be cool to have a small see thru section to...
ooops, just read the bit about what uni your at. Product Design is a class subject :o I did the same! Was going to do a new type of RC engine with a slipper clutch and low 120 degree engine....but they didnt have the staff to help me at the time :(
What are you doing at Uni?
If you know any CAD or Engineering boys then get some help for CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics). I can help you with basic 3D modeling and rendering but I havent touched CFD before. You can simulate the amount of air and pressure going into the induction kit and that...
Anyone know the colour code for my gold/black clio? Ive had asearch and can only find the code for the liquid yellow...Lovely colour but no good to me :dapprove: lol.
Halfrauds can mix up a close match for £10 i think, any any idea if i can get it done somewhere else? Its only for a small job...
Mine has been doing that for over a month now. Only just been able to book my car into the Renault garage! Some days mine is ok, others it will randomly flicker unless i give it some good revs...
The engineer seemed to find it unique that it is a temp wire or sensor problem... he even said he...
I wasn't saying that. Just something I was told when passing convo with some of the engineers. If you don’t ask then you will never know.
I always thought it was better until they started talking about warm air being easier to vaporise as its less dense. That’s the bit that made me think. I...
Right then,
Was chatting to some of the older or shall I say “more senior” engineers where I work about modifying my airbox to pipe cold air from the front. They all smirked like typical engineers and said that cold air into the engine is not the way to improve performance. Instead they said...
Have a peek at this: http://www.photosolve.com/main/resources/pw_film_conv/
You can get a plug-in for photoshop, to be honest you can get a plug-in for anyhting you want. You can get cheap negative scanners, I think Epson do a bespoke scanner which is compact, you simply feed in the film an it...
Flakes off? Isn't carbon fibre meshing set in a hard resin? It shouldn't flake off! Not unless its some mock carbon fibre film laminated onto the surface... I always thought the K-Tec ones were 100% Carbon Fibre?
It lasts 3 times longer than existing ones or something like that. Subject to maintaining it. I think you can use a vacuum on the top surface if needed. It has a wire mesh over the fine foam layer.
Just called Hill Power as ive seen a few of their induction hose kits on here.... £235... That seems bloomin expensive for a bit of silicone pipe... Are there any other places that sell them seperate?
Not only a new user to Clio Sport but no feedback off ebay... As tempting as it sounds i would stay away from this mate. If he can't even get a picture or provide basic information then its not worth it.... You know the good old saying, 'If its too good to be true...'
Anyone loval to him to...
They sure do :o just got one off ebay and going to do some mods and paint work to it :D if all goes wrong then it will be back on ebay no dout! If i can make it look good then i'm willing to sell my old one!
There were two on it this week! I missed on the other day, went for £5ish plus £10...
