Not sure i understand but if the car started to rev to 3500rpm i would think it could be related to air leaking into the manifold. Thats as vague as im prepared to be at this point in time (y)
If it was me I'd swap injector 1 over with 2,3 or 4 to see if it's the injector or something else ignition related. Fault finding is all about gathering as much info as you can with what you have.
My misfire was due to a faulty injector swapped it with a spare I had and haven't had a problem...
To be fair if its down on power i would HOPE its due to timing. Timing is easy to resolve and can be done in an afternoon. All other options would result in needing an engine rebuild.

There is a guy on eBay that sells sets of part worn 195 50 15 Michelin pilot sport 3's for £80. I've had a couple of sets off him and Whilst he's selling them I won't be buying anything else.
