I had a cinquecento for a few years and the check on that was wrong, made it look like a bad car but in fact someone had just typed in the mileage wrong, nothing in the history of that car to make me think it's dodgy, I'd always go with condition over paperwork anyway.
I'm certainly not new to a set of spanners so I think if I had the codes read I'd stand a good chance of working out what the issue was, at the same time it might just be easier to come to you Mick and get you to look over it, I'll give you a call tomorrow.
Hi folks,
My 182 bogs down and has a slight misfire for a second if given WOT at 2.5k. If I accelerate on partial throttle through the same rev range I don't get the issue but floor it at anything below 2k and it will bog down badly at 2.5 every time.
I have changes the plugs for the proper...
Hi folks,
I am refitting a standard stereo to my 182, it all plugs up fine, the face lights up, it makes all the right umm and ahhhss and whirrs and beeps when I press buttons but the screen doesn't display CODE or 0000 it just has the time and nothing else.
What am I getting wrong here?
Cheers.
Ive been fitting new pads and disks on the rear today which gave me a chance to have a proper look at the underneath of the car(not had it long). I noticed this little rod wasn't secured(it had actually popped out of the hole I just put it back in before the picture). I can only guess that maybe...
There isn't a plug too near but I reckon I can wrangle an extension that would do the job, that would be an enormous help mate!
I'm undoing it with the wheel off, will it make a difference? I can swing off the breaker bar and the nut isn't going anywhere.
Cheers!
Hello folks,
Today I set about changing the rear disks and pads on my 182 as the bearings are on their way out. However I've got to the point of removing the hub nut and with my 3 foot breaker it just isn't moving.
The car is up on stands and I need it for work on Tuesday, if anyone in the...
Changed the chavvy blue sidelights and removed a renault F1 team sticker from the bonnet then got started on changing the rear disks and pads. Got to the point of removing the hub nut and even with my 3 foot breaker bar theres no budging it, not sure what to do now.
Well this is super creepy, I've just been out messing with my car and found the exact same issue, parked in an underground CP and the lights come on but the drivers side is much dimmer, wondering if it's a strange quirk of the Auto lights, maybe the car park is right on the edge of the Auto...
I spent a few hours giving it a proper look over after picking it up on Friday. Needs some bits and bobs desperately but nothing that can't be fixed.
Two small but annoying issues, the bonnet seems to sit slightly higher than it should do at the front and you can push it down but it springs...
Massive thread revival but I'm having the same issue, just fitted one of the cabasse units but despite turning it on it isn't showing up anything on the screen, the cables are all hooked up apart from the multi changer as my car doesn't have one.
Any ideas?
Thanks folks, wheel bearing was my first thought too when I got home, the car pulls towards that side ever so slightly too which would add up. This looks like what I need...

Would that work or is it a different part for a cup?
Got it home! Few little issues to sort like a strange wind whistle and a drone that sounded like a flat tyre but isn't from the front left but I'm just glad it's back in one piece.
I did get it super cheap and a great spec so the plan is to get the belt done and have a cracking car, just need to get to the belt change without drama. Cheers folks.
Later today I'm going to pick up my new 182, it has a few little issues,a misfire at idle and a chequered belt history(done recently but by a non specialist), I've booked it in with Birchdown next week but need to get it 50 miles home first without the engine going bang(this happened with my...
Hi folks,
Went to see the 182 I've been looking at today, I knew it had a misfire before I got there, its evident in the video but clears up instantly above around 1500k, the plugs have been changed which leads to me to think it's either the injectors or HT leads.
More importantly I want to...
