Cant enter code?

Hi folks,

I am refitting a standard stereo to my 182, it all plugs up fine, the face lights up, it makes all the right umm and ahhhss and whirrs and beeps when I press buttons but the screen doesn't display CODE or 0000 it just has the time and nothing else.

What am I getting wrong here?

Hi mate I've just had this problem.. Is there an "extension" loom behind the head unit? If so take the yellow plug out and try to reach it directly to the back of the head unit. It then worked for me, not sure if it's exactly the same problem as you but my display came back! Hope that helps
