I've never had any problems with mine, although it hasn't done many miles with them on. These are reflective which may have helped, a mate of mine had german ones on his golf which weren't reflective and he had some trouble

I have this same problem and I only have 1 key. On mine the key will open the doors and allow you to get in no problem but when you try to start it the light in the middle of the dash will flash rapidly. If this is the same problem as yours then it is £38 inc VAT to get the key re-doded...

They told me to use the steering wheel controls, use the wheel to move the numbers then press the button on the bottom to move along, when you're on the last digit pressing the bottom button will enter the code.
