Sweet! I really appreciate the sincere comments about my writing.
Although I might have an unfair advantage - I have lived in united states for almost 6 years of my life, and had unfathomable amounts of reading to do for my studies.
So I just tend to copy things that I see.
This is also why...
Agreed, and I also had my throttle cable switched out because the throttle would stick at 2'000RPM.
So am I free to buy simple pipes for my induction kit? Lastly what size Oil filter fits on our cars, is it 16mm?
This is what another member from here got from my VIN number, so I am 99.9% certain that it is a phase 1 car. which then you suggest means that it will go to Idle Control Valve. What do I do in that case?
Here is the proof:
Registration number
BK732KY
Vehicle identification...
Ughh guys, yet again I come here with my cup of coffee and have new things to learn about my little silver beast.
Here is the clarification:
1. I have bought a pipercross filter and couple of 90 degree bent pipes to go with it. I will remove my air intake asembly.
2. Problem is that the old...
Interesting, so should I buy the catch can, or just stick with the small filter? also if I get an oil filter from what I read before it ought to be a 15mm one?
V16daf, what is the part number, or name of the tank you used? How helpful is it?
I am quite unfamiliar with setting one up. Is there a guide in members section for it? Or could you guys just recommend me a part number that I can easily put on?
Hello guys,
Currently I own a RS clio 172 ph1, and after looking into ktec style do it yourself thread, I have made a decision to build my own intake.
However here in Lithuania samco hose with a breather included is quite expensive. So here is what I am unsure about:
If I build an intake...
Finally me and my buddy decided to get RS tuners. Question that I have is who could help me with my order, and who do I talk to explain exactly what I need?
I bet you guys know the answer.
Thanks!
*bows* my buddy here is a national rallycross / cross champ, and he helps me with training. In fact he was the one to show me this beast 172, and tell me that it is in fact, one of the best cars to practice driving with. God bless RS clio!
Oh and one pic with him with his other car:
So you...
Oh God, me and my buddy should probably get some sort of award. We both were training for rallycross, on gravel roads for a few days. This is what real RS clios put to real use in gravel roads:
P.s. we actually really love our cars, and buddys car has higher suspension set up for gravel (he is...
It is Girlfriend with the car, the one driving is me though. I will check out the 19.5 or 22.2mm thickness. Yeah I guess I will invest money in an RS tuner/intake or exhaust.
I will leave the drums as is, and yeah handbrake is INCREDIBLE fun.
Just my opinion on this overrun map thing, I believe that RS clio itself is silly to begin with, so adding more character to it seems just right. When I show up in it saying it is my weekend fun car people react with disbelief, however, it all changes after I start the engine or pop up the hood...
fuf, so it is a clio sport!!! yeeeeeeeee *danceparty*. However, the question still stands, how do I change the drums to discs, how expensive and hard would it be? and all in all is it even worth it? Also, should I check if my axle is somehow the wrong one?
Surely then something is not right. I know for certain that previous owner did NOT care for this car. it had horrid wheels, pieces of interior was missing, tires were bad, it had missing bolts, and the engine exploded at some point after a good 3 months. However, now it has another heart...
Well I am not sure, I know I did switch out all of the springs/shocks when I got the car, and they were definitely Renault Sport.
Here are more pics, it might help somehow.
So here I am back at home, this is the number you are looking for: VF1CB0M0F22558306
Here are the pictures:
(as you can see on the back wheels that there are drum breaks painted white)
It has all the badges and it is registered as renault clio sport model. It does have a fitting 2.0L and all...
Hello guys, I have a 172 rs clio ph1 and I noticed that it has rear drum brakes. What I want to figure out is if there is a kit to upgrade them to discs and how difficult/worthwile it is?
