What a fantastic thread  but I have 2 complaints , one it has taken me half a hour to read ,but time well spent , 2 your a bad influence as I now want another project lol , Keep up the fantastic work & I cant wait to see it in action !
Would have to agree with Martin-172 as I have also had a80 & 100 bh both are great fun and you can laugh at the world ( well until it breaks ) :S the 80 always felt better than my current mk 3dci 106 , but the 100 just brings a bigger smile to your face ,Good luck in your search:)
Just done the 172 rep on my 100 bhp clio and due to the shaft issue went for hubcentric bolt on spacers on the front , worked a treat & looks good (well in my opinion ) ;) could fit the 172 wide track but think that you would need custom drive shafts
Hi peeps just wondering if any of you have run a alternative rear silencer on a clio dci ? seen a couple and one on hear with no rear box just a pipe ,thought about a k_teck stelth realty wanted one of those 182 copy ones for when you have a spare wheel well but they make to much money...
Good luck with your cage ,just a word of caution ,be care full buying off demon tweeks , I purchased a omp cage off them for my Renault 8 they said 10 weeks but was here in 3 , but it was welded with one of the front uprights on the wonk & didn't fit ,when I phoned they asked for pics which I...
That's a standard non sport rear disc set up or rear drum set up , but not a real problem & the spacers will still fit :) as on mine you may need some different bolts , I took one of my ones out & went down to a local bolt company & got some longer by the amount of the spacer bolts .
like mentioned in earlier posts the connecters on the rear lights are not making full contact including the earth ,pop the rear lights out ,un plug them carefully bend the tabs in the connector to make them tighter but not to tight so they bend up when you push them back on ! check the pins are...
You have to take the black part attached to the roof out as they leak in between the roof and are only sealed with double sided tape :dapprove: if you run your finger round the outer edge you will find the roof pushes down in places & that's were the water is getting in
You don't crack the injectors off and do that on a 1.5 dci as with the high pressure they work under you could end up getting hurt ! by what you have said & that you run it low on fuel regular you have probably killed the pump :(
You misunderstood I had a clio that was ok driven normal but when given the beans would go miles then chug and conk out , leave it for a sec and with a struggle would start and carry on its way , this was due to growth in tank .
Hard to say without seeing it but the noise you are describing sounds like diesel knock or firing on air , Could be a problem in the tank sender unit as you get a growth in diesel ,if you take the sender out and remove the gauze filter from the bottom you will more than likely find a black...
