Looks like the ones on my old clio , but they can be painted :) I used a wheel silver on mine but there are plenty to chose from & can be done & look good with a rattle can .
If the regulator they bought was for a mk 3 clio then all they had to do was remove the box held on with 1 screw & 2 clips off the old on & put it on the new . but most problems are with the small box not the regulator . Take it to some one who knows what they are doing would be good advise .
Are you putting the original set that came with the car in or is it one you have purchased ? because most clios 05 onwards have a different head unit with a aluminum heat sink on the side , the older head unit will go in but the display will show blank no digits .
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
I would say so as changing a turbo on a 100 bhp today and noted the cat only has the smaller hole , the figure of 8 hole is to clear the waste gate . 100 bhp has different waste gate . As for the wide track conversion I found 25mm bolt on spacers work well ;)
If you are thinking you can take the steering wheel off turn it & put it back on you would be wrong as the wheel has a master spline & only goes on in one place .You adjust the wheel to the straight ahead position when setting the tracking on the rack arms .
If you take the inner back panel off you will see the 2 wires from the number plate light & if you follow them from memory they go to the n/s rear light connector .
What make of oil did you use ? reason I ask is had a problem on my old clio sport also could not down change when coming to roundabouts ect , put car lube in just as bad , changed to elf and there was a instant difference ,gears were slick and no problem with cold selecting .
Well if all goes wrong & you are looking for some thing different I do have a sebring silencer for a dci clio ;) but there not to every ones taste and they do weigh heavy lol good luck
The throttle pedals do wear out as I had one the other day that came up with the same reading as yours , second hand pedal and all was sorted , you may also have a throttle body fault .
Have had this issue before & from memory it was the motor this was on a x reg clio when trying to put a later motor on it so could be the same issue with yours .
Would only put a genuine clutch in as they are not that pricey and give the best results , have had customers bring there own but borg & beck ended up with a heavy pedal and was not a pleasure to drive :dapprove: valeo are normaly good .
just use a orbital sander ,start with 400 then go 800 then 1000 if they look ok buff up with 3m compound then coat with 2pack clear coat sorted and lasts for years ;)
Did the steering rack get replaced ? it isn't uncommon for the rack middle shaft to bend on hard impact, this can be detected if it is easy to turn one way but feels harder to turn back if you get what I mean . Also the rack sensor can give problems .
I had the same problem when I purchased some cheep ones of ebay there was no adjustment and they just hit the scuttle panel .Then purchased the ones recommended off here and they work spot on & hit the screen
The seat can be repaired ;) second hand seat air bag or new if your feeling flush then find a local trimmer who if there good like mine will sew it back up for around £40 then second hand pre tensioner and airbag ecu of the same type . just another option for you .
To be honest each to thee own & think at the end of the day do things the way that you want its a learning curve & we all have to start some were ;) & I will admit my grammar sucks if only i had of spent more time learning at school :headno:
