Please could anyone with a 172 cup and CLIP post up a screenshot of their petrol injection ecu config page. The settings in my replacement ECU don't look right to me but I have nothing to compare to.
Thanks!
Factory claim is 182bhp DIN. Which is 176ish bhp ISO when converted from the ISO KW figure of 131.5kW stated by Renault 5% either side of that is standard for a mass produced engine. Renault didn't lie the DIN figure is just another way of standardising power figures. Remember PMPO outputs for...
I need to replace all the locks as well or I would be looking at just replacement keys. 500quid to sort the lot was the quote I got from my local dealer. Just haven't got it to spend so secondhand it'll have to be.
Police have been pretty poor on the info front so no idea where it was recovered...
Car Recovered. Was found 16th December on someone's driveway with the wrong plates. Police didn't tell us until last Friday. Car has been logged as OK with scratches so it's worth going through the effort to return it to the south. Annoyingly it is without Key because the Police couldn't search...
Thanks but I could still see the gates writing on the belt on mine and it had a recent belt change, dephaser and water pump. That engine doesn't look like mine. My wheels were Anthracite with a scrape on one and the paint had bubbled in the middle of two. I wasn't joking about knowing my parts!
Thanks! She'll cope she always does. She just could done without it!
That's all I can ask is people keep their eyes peeled and ears to the ground. Any parts places dealing in stolen parts need naming and shaming even if they can't be closed down.
Could do with a list of stolen engine numbers...
Anthracite, none of the parts listed looked like mine. Annoyed the engine has gone. I'll be watching his page like a hawk. I won't be giving up. I will be putting a lot of effort into trying to tracking the parts. People buying cup parts need to be careful now as I can spot many of mine a mile...
Checked parts on ebay. My Cup had a nearly new Bm cat and calipers had traces of blue paint and HP2000 pads. One of the rear calipers was almost new etc. Thanks for looking though!!
That's up to my mum. I sold it to her. It was safe in Dorset in the middle of nowhere :(
Why my sister had to move up to Liverpool from Bristol I'll never know.
According to Liverpool police the Cup could be on its way to an illegal breakers so be wary of any Cup parts advertised since Sunday.
Various parts on the car had things about them that will make them easy to spot if photographed for an advert
HK52 ZGJ's engine number is C016085 for info.
Can only ask for any and all to look out for this car reg HK52 ZGJ.
Superb 'all original' and totally gutted it's been taken :-(
Please share everywhere!
If the brakes are all good even standard brakes are up to a 15min session. A sign that tuition is needed.
I almost ran up the ass of a track prepared bmw at my last track day that was complaining of brake fade in the pits. He was carrying none of his braking into the corners when possible and...
Decide why you're doing track days and then mod to suit.
By that I mean if your just going for fun then get any Clio sport mechanically sorted and learn how to really work the chassis.
Or if your going to make a point of trying to show up faster stuff then you need to strip it out and go...
Torque limited maps keep it cheap. Massive torque at low rpm is nice but destructive. If you limit yourself to a nice flat torque curve of 200lbs/ft you still get 230bhp at 6000rpm! Diesels torque limit all the time for good reason!
There really is naff all between them all. It's down to personal choice. I'd rather have a Clio with an auto box than be seen dead in a VW product or a ruddy mini. That doesn't make either of them terrible I just have an irrational hatred of them!
Pretty favourable conditions you have in the corner there. A less favourable day would see that drop 5 or 6bhp. If they used an iso standard correction that would end up as a figure in the 170s.
Unexpected breakdowns that couldn't have been prevented by regular and correct maintenance are a totally different thing. You can't say a car is unreliable because a lack of knowledge has left a 10+ year old car as a ticking time bomb.
A bad driver/owner will destroy any car as I'm sure the...
Wish I still had a picture of my fiesta CVH's bent valves after a throttle cable malfunction and the lifters jacked up. Guides knackered and the valves bent in two places :(
Keep at it! It's very satisfying to finish a job like this.
