Lol, I had one of the few 5 door Fiesta St's they sold in the UK!
Didn't look as good as the 3 door, but was more practical (kids).
Didn't stop some thieving scumbag trying (unsuccessfully) to nick it.
My lad has one, he had a 17 plate mk7? before.
It drives a whole lot better, it feels like it has more low down torque and pulls from lower revs than the old ST.
Build looks a bit cheaper, but the Infotainment is better and the ride feels more like a bigger car.
He has silver fox, I thought it...
I frequent the Audi TT forum and it's common now for V6 chains to stretch.
My shed focus 1.8 petrol has a chain, the 1.6 has a belt!
On the Juke, you could ask them to do the work and offer to pay the extra, they may knock some cash off or it may save you getting your hands dirty?
I fitted a Valeo clutch kit to the wife's 182 and now get a judder when moving off (careful choice of words) in first gear.
I don't get the issue in reverse.
It seems better if you rev the engine and slip the clutch and is fine between gears.
I changed the clutch cable and greased the pedal...
Fitted a new switch yesterday.
Had a play with the old switch and if you give it a small tap, the button pops out!
Reckon the heat was causing something to expand and make the already faulty switch pop out and the hazards flattened the battery.
4x21w bulb=84w plus 2 x 5w side repeaters=94w on a...
I was away at the weekend and received a couple of texts from a neighbour saying the hazards were flashing on the wife's 182.
I thought with the heat, perhaps the alarm had gone off.
When I got home, the battery was flat, so I jump started the car to charge it up and noticed the hazards were...
I replaced the clutch on my wife's 182 December last year and ever since it has slight clutch judder in first gear when pulling away.
I fitted a new friction plate, pressure plate and thrust bearing (Valeo).
Last month I replaced the clutch cable with a genuine part and cleaned up and greased...
Had a look at the wiring diagram, there's also a 15a fuse, a driver's seat recline switch (detects if the seat has been clicked back after somebody has got in or out of the back of the car) and passenger airbags connected to the airbag computer.
What about the passenger dash airbag that you can switch off?
My lad fitted some Cobra bucket seats to his Clio, and we stripped the old airbag out of a seat and set it off.
It went with a hell of a bang, would be deafening in a car!

I used an Mk2 MX5 as a donor for my Wsetfield (1.8S with the LSD), it was an MOT failure as the seatbelt mounts were rotten, yes the double skin chassis legs were worse!
Wouldn't mind the supercharger!
Make sure you loosen the steering column joint!
I unbolted the LH side of my subframe, but it wouldn't drop. Had to lever it off with a 2x4. The collar on the rear subframe mounting had peened over slightly in the bodywork. Had me foxed for a bit!!
From memory, 2 resistors in the steering wheel, 2 resistors in each seat.
Could be a side impact detector fault, but more likely a bad connection.
I did my lads steering wheel as he had an OMP one fitted, and had to put the resistors in the connector before the clock spring as it was faulty.
I've had a misfire on a 1.2 and changed the coil pack, it was a duff injector.
I had a 172 with a misfire and that was an injector too, but it ran on 3 cylinders rather than had a misfire like the 1.2
I put a cheap diagnostic reader on my 172 and it came up misfire cylinder number 'X', the 1.2...
I'm looking at the same issue on my wife's 182.
I've bought a pure highway system with a USB input (for MP3 tracks) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-SEAT-Leon-2013-2017-All-Models-Pure-Highway-300Di-Radio-Adaptor/182653978241?hash=item2a87068681:g:lxEAAOSwFJBZXkUM (mine was £60), but it came...
I was thinking about this, I think you're right. Tends to be expensive stuff that's generally harder to steal that they break into your house for.
We had 2 new Fiesta ST's 9 months ago. We now have a 182 (the wife missed her old one) and a focus-£35000 down to £3500!
Because I wanted them to think their kit was faulty or they were doing something wrong. I think visible deterrents are what may make them come in to your house.
ST was sold the same day and I have an old focus now!
Several people have said to me, why not do this or that to prevent the car being stolen.
My answer is I'd rather they stole the car than broke into the house!
They picked or bumped the lock to get in, took them 70 seconds. Spent 40 seconds with the alarm going off trying to reprogram a key to start it, but I'd modified the diagnostic socket. They casually walked away and stole an st from around the corner 45 minutes later, somebody who works for the...
Serves them right. There was a smash in Birmingham recently where they drove a stolen car the wrong way up a short dual carriageway, they hit another car and the thieves were killed. There's loads of flowers on the grass verge there now.
They were thieving scumbags who felt it was fine to risk...
Had a few Clio sports, it went New 200 (me and the wife), 182 (wife), 197 (wife), 200 cup(me), 172 (me) and now the wife has replaced a 2 year old Fiesta ST2 with a Clio 182!
Had 3 TT's, they're becoming a bit of a liability now and a lot harder to diagnose and repair than a Clio!
I've just done the aux belt on the wife's 182, with idler and tensioner.
I was shocked how bad the belt was considering it was only a few months over the 36 month recommended change.
I'd noticed the power steering was starting to slip-the tensioner had seized and the belt was slack. When I undid...
