My Silverstone had the Cup Chassis and it was an absolute riot to be fair, had to do tyres and changed the Conti's for Hankook V12 Evo's and the car suffered a bit due to softer sidewalls but it was still really lively, great balance surprisingly good brakes.
If there is anything you need to...
Aye thanks pal it was a cracking little car. Bit of an impulse purchase to be fair but it never missed a beat in the year that I owned it. Only complaints were that it just didn't have enough grunt from the 1600. It was alright once it was rolling but you had to stay up it all the time to have...
Had a 133 when he was building this so watched the build really closely. There's plenty of laps pre engine swap and he is 100% committed all of the time - if in doubt, flat out. It is a serious piece of kit though and he can pedal like a man possessed.
To be fair it made perfect sense to do...

These ^^^^^^^^ got a set that a use at work and they sounded so good that 6 people bought a set off sound alone. Cheap as chips and sound the tits.
Thanks bud [emoji106]
I'm going to "kick some tyres" @ 3PM to find out the crack.
Brake pedal to the floor though? If it's stuck in a higher gear that's not going to do anything for me as I'm assuming it'll just stall anyway?
I trying to arrange a viewing on the above, being sold spares or repairs but I wanted some ideas on what the gearbox issue is likely to be so I know whether or not it's worth it?

Question - posted this on DW also. Already done my winter prep and used AutoGlym EGP on bare paint, cured for 1 hour then a coat of Colli 476s over the top about 30 minutes later. Never tried this as a combo, anyone have any experience of the 2 together? I intend to put another layer of Colli on...
What a fantastic tribute to your Son. Just read this start to finish and all I can say is I'm absolutely in awe.
Keep doing what you're doing fella, I'm sure you both appreciate the memories and we appreciate the results and sentiment. [emoji106]
They are wayyyyyy stronger than the factory figures suggest. Pal of mine had a GTI with a supersprint, mani and filter and it ran 146BHP - it felt every bit as quick as well.
Awesome wee car, and MK1's are getting so rare now - more so than the equivalent 106 GTI. Saxsport, mani and an enclosed filter really open them up too. Should see 140BHP and at 900KGS or so that's enough.
Small world fella, I'm in Blyth too [emoji106] I work in the Silverlink. I'll be watching out for your motor. There's a Ph1 kicking about too which I see now and again, not sure if it's on here.
Paintwork and attention to detail are epic......... That bonnet shut picture just screams dedication. The want is strong with this one mate.
Well done on the feature fella [emoji106]
Serious as a heart attack by the sound of it lol you're asking for trouble really. On a public road the limit of grip will be too high for you to "play" with the balance of the car and there are far too many variables that don't, and shouldn't even bear thinking about.
If there are no race...
It would be game on defo - guy called Yotah on 133.net has a track 133 with an F4R in it and I couldn't see many other potential issues with an F4RT.
@The Russian I have a Green Cotton Air Filter that was in my 133 Silverstone if you want it? Sound awesome and helps a bit with pick up in the...
