It's been a while since I've updated this. Had the car roughly a year now and done just shy of 7k at an average MPG of 21.7. Yeah it's a bit thirsty.
Anyway, I've done some bits over the past few months which have included replacing the PAS pump, PAS Fluid bottle and both aux and air con...

2nd Jan: Dear Shiny friends, we are extremely sorry to say that Shinearama Limited ceased trading and & the company entered into liquidation. HOWEVER...a new company has been born to enable Phil & Foxx to continue their passion -...
I used this for my HSD's, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_201627_langId_-1_categoryId_165742
Just spray it on the threads and wipe off shortly after. Probably exactly the same as what James linked but more expensive.
Had 4 wheel alignment done this morning by Drury Lane Services, they did a great job. Took a bit longer than I was thinking but thats down to the design of the camber plates on the HSDs.
Drove like a bag of crap in comparison to now! Its fantastic. Looks like I've only got a tiny rubbing now...
Yeah that's was what i was talking about.
From what I've seen it's just the inner lip that's rolled, so you'd never ever see it.
Not really sure why its down do the paint, I would have though it was down to how much was being rolled, ie the depth of the inner lip, the deeper the lip the more...
I'm sure these guys will know what they're doing and will not remove paint. http://www.archenemy.co.uk/
TBF, I know I've lost paint from the inside lip now anyway, as I checked at weekend. As long as its rolled, and doesn't rub, I can bilthamber it and then seal it.
Booked in for 4 wheel...
Cookson, as Rob said really. I could, but theres no point when its being done at weekend.
Rear rubs a fair bit now. Con's of running 20mm spacers on the rear. Undecided on what to do about it. Rolling the arches would be an ideal solution.
Rear scrubs over bumps, but can't say i've noticed the front scrubbing at all.
Yep, I wasn't overly sure what to expect from the DT's but they're fine for my needs.
Cheers guys!
Nope, I'll do them if any come up for sale. I've heard mixed reports on most of them.
:( Homo. They're classy. However they've a PITA to clean. And yes I did, but more importantly because I didn't want to use a clutch pedal. The HSD's aren't even uncomfortable.
With the help of Rhys and Pete, I got my HSDs fitted last weekend. Had chance to clean it yesterday. First impressions from the coilovers are fantastic, I would even say they ride better than the standard dampers. Obviously, though, they are harsher over speed pumps etc in the road. Super easy...
