What the locking wheel nut key that the thieves are going to find in the boot? Mines taped under my battery, but dont tell anyone this;). Yes your prize is a ride in RajKs williams 1.
Halfords do a dent removal kit that you attach to the dent heat up, it sticks to the metal, and pull the dent out. Looks good on the box. Anyone tried it, or anything similar?
Willimas-ant, ur Williams must have been sh*te if it did 0-60 in 7 and a half seconds. Riplash did a timed 0-60 in his Williams last night at 6.85. Completely standard. 7 and a half is fairy tale land.
Besides its not about speed. Its about overall package. And IMO the Williams is is the best...
Cheers williams-ant. I have driven one and i did think it was slow, and im not crazy. Slow is a relative word. Yes it was a quick car, but not as quick as people make out. Id have no probs keeping with the standard one i drove in my Williams. People claim they are some kind of magical speed...
Unless ur going to tune it the GTiR wont be a step forward from ur williams. I drove one and it was pants (was expecting a rocket ship but got a fast hot hatch).
I know its been talked about before, but do any onther valver / Willy owners experience tractor like noises when the car is cold, especially when left for a couple of days? Seems fine when it gets warm. My low milage williams doesnt do this, so is it just the age?
Could be something to do with the fact that stone chips are more likely on the drivers side from cars going in the other direction? but that doesnt explain why the rust starts on the inside surface. Would the exhaust be able to dry the otherside when it was hot, or is it too far away?
I was thinking, what if you injected a mixture of zinc filings and wax into the cavity water trap (between the lining and the outer metal), and then treated the rust on the surface as normal. The wax protects the metal and the high zinc content act as an electron donor (sacraficial anode metal)...
From what ive been reading if you stick some aluminum foil in the gap between the metal and the black sealer layer it should prevent the rust coming back. The aluminium will donate electrons to the iron and prevent it rusting.
I agree 16v-2.0 about the water trap, i can see it on my Willy. But as the rust forms from the iside out, why not treat it from the inside? If you catch it before it rips you a new ass hole in the arch, i reakon it wont come back.
Mine is like that too. I think its possible to kill that rust for good. Ive been working on my willy for the last two days and i may have identified the real problem. I think the trick is to attack the rust from the back of the metal. From the lip of the arch the inner protective lining and the...
Right, can everyone who has this problem reply to this post and tell me what the pattern of rust is like (ie where is it, how big, when / where it started etc). If my suspitions are confirmed i think it may be possible to completely halt the rust.
Anyone on here do me a quote for replacement of drivers side rear quarter panel for a williams? What should i pay?
Ive got surface rust on the rear arch. Im down to shiney metal so i dont think its too bad, but wouldnt mind getting it replaced. Near side is fine. If i got the panel off another...
Get a mint williams for 4 - 5k and spend the extra on the insurance. You wont be dissapointed. If not id go for a valver, only because i think they look so nice. Dont get me wrong, 172 is a very nice car, but i just think it lacks the aggressive looks of the older clios. However, for a girl i...
