I've had my de-cat on my Cup for about 2 years with both sensors plugged in and its been fine (touches wood) Why are you uplugging the second sensor if it runs ok with them both in?

My Cup made 181 hp and 155 lbft at Dastek Dalgety bay with a de-cat, exhaust, panel filter and R Sport ECU.

I tried to get a quote on my modded Cup and it came back saying they couldn't insure a Cup with those mods (exhaust system, seats, cams, head work, chip, inlet work, filter) Seems a bit strange since im 23 with 1 years NCD and no accidents.

Add modded inlet manifold to your list and re-map, you will see between 200-210 hp and 170-180 lbft with those mods.

Agreed, but if you take a 172 and a Cup and all things being equal (petrol, drivers weight, skill, both producing power they should) the Cup will pull on a 172.

Why you getting your nickers in a twist, I said the Cup is slightly faster due to its weight advantage which it is. Do you really care if a Cup will pull away from you?

Yeah if the Cup driver was 14 stone heavier than the 172 driver they would be the same weight. Have we got any 25-30 ish stone Cup drivers on here?

^^89 kg less than a Mark 2 172 about 80 less than a mark 1.

If the Cup weighs 1070 the 172 will weigh 1160 its 89 kg lighter than a 172.

Think the one with the alloy bonnet weight about 5kg less, all the figures were from a weight bridge. Renaults weight figures from the RS1 are BS.

RS1 weighs 1100 kg Cup weighs 1021 kg, Cup's always going to be slightly faster. Corners Cup would definatly win.

I wouldn't swap a 180 for a 182 never mind a 172, just keep it.
