i tried this on my old RT, and i think it disrupts the mixture too much, your throttle expects a certain amount of resistance so if there is none............i havent got a clue what im talking about but i dont think it will make much difference. Now if only i could get the air entering throttle...
:D, well i dint get a 60ft time less then 2.2 and still managed a 14.4 1/4 so if i can get my starts better, who knows?! can you get us that tape then mate?
i had reaars at 40(so there is no squat when coilovers are stiff) and the front at about 25, usually have rears at 31 and front at 29, but at the mo i just let the rears down a bit so they wouldnt pop. the tyre pressure may have somat to do with the car wnting to turn left when braking at 100+mph!
yeah, heard alot of good things about the s and certainly wouldnt be stupid enough to give one a go. gave a GT4 a go when my 1.8 was standard:oops:, to this day i still cant believe how stupidly fast this thing was, it was like i was in reverse!
well looks that way after tonight, still got my front and rear strut to fit and my tyre pressures are all over the show after york, would quite like to compare when all is ready though, the clio does seem to have a hell of a lot of grip around most corners, so when strutted it can only get better!
yeah, heard the Boxster S is not to be messed with, rumour theat they brake from 100-0 in 2.9secs?!!?!!!! not shy then! was very suprised at his cornering though cos i expected to have the edge due to suspension mods and being a bit of a loony around corners but he just left me on them!
On...
on way back from work, got on the A34 off the M60 and noticed porsche heaadlights behind me and hoped it would be that of a boxsters and it was! he pulled level and gave it a little blast with a smile on his face like "ha ha a clio wants to race ME? all over his arse although he was pulling...
forgot to meantion i was running over 3/4 tank of juice and it was my first time 1/4 miling, got a few tricks up my sleeve to hopefully see 14.3 14.2 next time, im crossing the line at 95mph+ so the potential is defo there for an impressive time! get rid of passenger seat, 1/4 tank of juice with...
and me a copy too mike, i want to see it! if i get you a VHS do you reckon you could copy all the footage for me? Adi, have you been on CruisinUK? they are all going on about your time at york!
my engine was RRd when Adi had it pre-chip and running an IK rather then a modified airbox and it got 137BHP@TW, not too impressive, but with chip and my home made airbox it ran a 14.4@96mph so i reckon its getting to 100 in around 15.5! not the 16.5 i originally thought. although its not just...
jon, you didnt stick around, you missed my best run of.....................14.404@96mph! absoloutely loving it considering it was my first time, and Adis......i think a few people will be a little shocked with his time!
managed a 14.6 on my first go, then 14.5 then LOADS of 14.6s, then near...
me there too! gearbox is holding on strong(ish), all stripped out, giving it a good clean 2moro to get rid of the dirt that may add weight and increase drag:p please please please get in the 14s!:D
cheers mate, Adi said he got inthe 16s 0-100 on the AP-22 with the same engine, that was with 17" wheels and before the chip. he also ran a piperX IK and i run my standard air box with mods, also running 16s. i reckon we just wait and see on monday, although i wont be hitting a ton in 1/4 mile!
williams engine and box, hill-power chip, de-cat straight through exhaust, modified air-box. it stays along side Adiclio16vs (matbrowns old one) whenever we have had a race and thats been timed 0-60 in 6.6 with proffesional timing equipment. it beats my mates highly moded corrado VR6 0-60(they...
so i have been told Ben, i have tried to set it up as best as i can, the only thing that differs is the tilt factor cos my car has coilovers, i put in the data on the Cliosport Homepage and set the tilt factor to .09 i think and my times were 6.6secs 0-60 (consistently) and a best of 16.5 0-100...
spoke to Adi today and we are going down wether its raining or not, the weather may be OK there for a while, and even if it aint everyone will be running wet times so we can still compare on the day
