This is the EXACT SAME PROBLEM im having, just recently put 17s on, never had this problem with the 16s. Only occurs when accelerating or braking harsh. I think its the offset of the wheels but i dont really know for sure :confused:

Why dont you get them via mail order, k-tec, demon tweeks etc. Then tkae em down to your local garage and get them to fit them. Thats what im doing.

I think Magnex are great! Well pleased with mine. The sound is spot on IMO. At idle it has a lovely burble and wonderful roar at high revs. I dont think it has made mine any more responsive but mine is just the back box, oh and it hasnt affectd my MPG. Id have a Magnex over powerflow anyday...

I paid £10,000 for my 172 with factory fitted sat nav, 15k on the clock, mint condition. Think thats a real bargain :D
