I dont know why but in Dublin I had the same problems, as did everybody I knew. Even if you didnt leave anything in the car they would break in just to check under the seats! I could have built a conservatory with the glass I bought for my old Mini and the birds AX! Two sh*tty little cars...
The Lancia is surely a classic and the first really great Grp A car, but they have been obsolete for a while. The Scooby and Evo will have it for lunch.
They are very nice to look at though. And the rally pedigree is not to se sneezed at!

Tony,
I was referring to the wheel(s) losing traction and the pressure being released from that particular wheel or wheels. You are correct that the wheel in question would not have any traction to contribute to the braking at the time the ABS was in action. However once that wheel or wheel...

Something very strange is going on with your ABS if in fact it goes on for four seconds just from a bump. Even half a second is a very long time in ABS terms. Yes a small bump will cause the ABS to activate. That same small bump will also cause your brake to lock otherwise.

Some more examples of the contribution of ABS to safety:
By momentarily kicking in, it can alert the driver to slippy conditions. Driving along at night, you might not realise that the outside temp has dropped significantly until you come across some ice. You might not even notice that one...

Tony,
I will have to disagree with you.
You have a point about people relying on the ABS, but but and large, on any slippy surface, the ABs will save your arse.
I used to disable the ABS on my race car but found I was faster with it working. The F1 boys would be faster if they were...

Done:
4 Tyres, need 2 more...
Shift Knob, Right front indicator, exhaust hanger rubbers, Front discs, 3 sets of brake pads, wipers.
Needed:
Rebuilt gearbox, dampers, ignition wires, plugs...
I never tot up the cost. It would take the fun out of it if I did!
Happy Stephens Day/Boxing...

Rob Fenn,
Problem is that BMW isnt making a Saloon version of the E46 M3. Besides, the E36 is quicker around the ring than the E46, the E46 being a bit heavier and less responsive as a result.
It is really hard to improve on the E36 3.2 Saloon...and with two wee ones, who by the way enjoy...
